Hello babies! - IAB's weekly threads. D days and newborns :)

Oddori we are honeydews today! :happydance:

IAB - Sorry to hear that you are still contracting. Are you going back to your doctor?

Akerie - I'm stalking untill we hear from you. xx

Oddori, NotNic, congratulations on honeydew-ness! Anyone know how long the honeydew stage lasts, is it two weeks? :flower:

Goodmorning ladies, I just really want to thank all of you for all of your well wishes. everything went great he is still measuring on the small side and his weight is almost 4lbs he is in perfect health...YAY. The Specialist reviewed my Dr's notes and told me what she recommended but the Specailist didn't agree with her she did apopologize for my regular Dr's bluntness which I appreciated because she was not the one who said it. So for now she is going to evaluate me every 2wks and go fromw there I am on restriction I can't even pick up my toddler and if I have cramping or I see any more blood I am to go to L&D which I promised I would. The cramping she is looking for is if its near my liver not just BH's. Thank you again ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so freaking HAPPY.

Almost forgot one more thing he is still breech.......I guess he loves that postition...

Great news Akerie! Hope you manage to rest and things stay calm.

Is anyone experiencing pressure reeeeally low down, ie. around the cervix area? It's rather uncomfortable and is leaving me with the great indignity of walking like I've had an accident - it's not a good look and certainly not a good feeling :S

My mums latest treatment session went well, her blood tests (she has one every week) have been positive so far. She also had a CT scan on Tuesday which should give everyone a clearer view on how things are going and how many more sessions she'll need. We all have our fingers crossed for early remission (the earlier the better as with Lymphatic cancer, it sadly isn't curable, they just keep it at bay with treatment, but the quicker it responds each time the longer the expected remission before it all starts again).

IAB - you're still in my though m'dear, hope you're doing ok x

Great news Akerie. Bubba still has loads of time to move. Mine has been moving around all over the place over the last week or two.

Bumpy - I think honeydews are 3 or 4 weeks but not sure.

Best wishes to your mum Vixx.

IAB hope you ok hun. x

Iamblessed, I am so sorry that your still experiencing this, is there anything your Dr. can do for you at all aside from bedrest that doesn't seem like its working very well and thats bothersome, I will keep you in my thoughts.

IAB, Akerie, thanks for updating us, and with good news, too! :flower:

June 10th, checking in.

Derek is measuring two weeks ahead so far. O.O Have another growth US in two weeks.

5th June here :howdy:

Well, took me a while to find the thread having not been on BnB much recently, and have to say just how nice it is to see everyone supporting eachother and being nice, just the way it should be :hugs:

IAB so sorry to hear you are having a hard time, if anyone is owed a break it's you!

It's great to see all the updates as usual and :hugs: to everyone who aren't having the best time at the moment.

Just a small update from me. So excited that I'm on the 2nd to last fruit :happydance: I will be having my first injection of b12 tomorrow so am a little anxious about it, needles don't bother me but I have a bit of a phobia when it comes to being injected with something I'm not familiar with. I'm starting to feel like a whale and finding it hard to get comfortable at all, seemed to happen all of a sudden, after my belly seemed to double in size overnight hehe.

P.S "The Honeydews are coming" = "The Venga Bus is coming". Great name but that song has been in my head for a while now :dohh: xx

Good to see you serenity and mcsmyth1!

Good luck tomorrow mcsmyth. My boy is measuring two weeks ahead too serenity!
Big hugs IAB, I hope they stop soon so that you can relax a bit more!
Well I have to say that 2012 is not my year but at least I know it will get better when my boy is here! I have had drama from my husbands side and drama from my families side! My husband got some rather shocking news which has kind of topped it all! I can't really voice it on here unfortunately. I just feel like i have been so stressed this whole pregnancy it isn't doing me any good with my high BP issue! I have an appt to check it tomorrow and I'm dreading it. For now I just have to support my husband in any way I can, I feel a bit useless, I don't know what to say. xx

admiral - that's rotten for you with the high bp and all, hopefully there will be some resolution to your family situation before your baby arrives. Good luck with the appointment today!

mcsmyth - good luck with the B12 today! It'll be over before you know it.

serenity - I was also measuring 2 weeks ahead at 28 week scan, and FH consistently 2-3cm ahead of schedule. Could be I'm just growing a big baby, but I've suspected for some time that my EDD from the 12 week scan is off by about a week. By LMP I should be due 31 May. I worry a little sometimes about being left to go too far overdue, but since I'm planning on refusing sweeps and induction anyway, perhaps I'm a little muddled in the head (and will probably change my mind by 39 weeks when I will be sick of being pregnant!!). :haha: I'm convinced that the baby will come in the 1st week of June. I'd love for it to come a day or two before the EDD, just to annoy my mom - she was more than 2 weeks over with me, and we're very competitive in a friendly family way.

Bumpycat I'm with you on the sweep thing. I can't imagine myself going overdue but if I do then I will agree to be induced, but hopefully I'd like to make sure that it is misses my SIL's birthday. No child should have to share a birthday with the family favourite! :haha:

As far as I can tell an early sweep or one c.40 week seems to be a lot of discomfort for not a particularly successful result. Unless Pip is in trouble I can't see the harm in giving it a bit longer to find the exit on it's own! :)

Vixx - Great news that your Mum seems to be responding well. Keep us posted.

admiral - Sorry to hear that the bad news fairy keeps visiting you. Good luck for your appt. Perhaps you and your OH need some time for yourself. A walk along the coast to blow the cobwebs away and help lower the blood pressure might give you guys the space away from your troubles. Thinking of you.

Akerie - :happydance: It sounds like you had a great appointment. You also do have lots of time for the baby to move. Mine was apparently head down at 32 weeks, but I feel like we might have decided transverse is more comfy again.

Serenity - Great to hear from you. Haven't seen you in ages!

Mcsmyth1 - Sorry about the thread title. I keep singing the coca cola christmas advert after posting on here! :)

Hope everyone else is doing well. Braxton Hicks are really kicking my b'hind at the moment. Anyone else really suffering from painful ones?

Sorry about the braxton hicks NotNic, I don't even feel them and didn't with my girl!

I think I am going to speak to my midwife later, I just feel really stressed and everything has got on top of me. I'm not sure what they can advise or do if anything? I'm just sad that I have not enjoyed this pregnancy like my last and feel guilty about it, it's just been overshadowed by it all xx

Admiral765, I'm sorry to hear ur having a rough time, this is my last too and I really feel like I've missed out on enjoying it because I've worried so much!
Notnic, ur avatar is very tempting right now. A calm setting and a cool glass of wine... I wish!

Jeege that was our honeymoon. We had a beautiful stay on Long Island in the WhitSundays and it was just heavenly! By the time we get the hot weather we'll be able to enjoy a glass or two. Can't wait! :)

I spoke to my Mum awhile ago and she got strong Braxton Hicks with us. She's told me the next time they happen, or if I don't feel quite right today I need to call my mw. Apparently what she thought was Braxton Hicks were real contractions and she ended up dilating 2-3cms before they stopped and was kept in hospital for observation!! They were extremely painful last night and I was trying to 'breathe' through them. I'm going to try to call the mw team this afternoon (no answer at the minute) to make sure I don't need to be checked. Apart from the tight tummy I feel okay today.

I have another growth ultrasound scheduled for May 2nd and my baby shower is May 6th. I'm off work now. I've been suffering from remarkably increased anxiety and depression since the third trimester started, and then I've had some marital issues since that have catapulted my stress level through the roof. So in dealing with all of those things, I've not been around BnB as much unfortunately. I'm hoping and praying that things go better from now on, but I suspect I'm going to have postpartum depression, too.
