Right.. :hi:
This is the first month of using OVK.. Ive brought the first response OVK which came in a pk of 30.. Ive read the information you get with it but wondered if anyone can tell me more? would love to know anyone else using these:flower:..
Ive just said goodbye to my AF:yipee: .. When would be the best day to start taking the tests?
Hoping to get a :bfp: so is plenty of :sex: before and after OV help too?
Lots of baby dust to everyone
:dust::dust::dust:

One more thing.. My OH is searching the internet for things he can do to help with TTC. hes came across a Fertility test kit that checks the sperm count. Has anyone ever use these before??
Thanks x

Hey! If you have a 30pk I would start testing right away. Unlike HPTs it's sometimes better to do ovulation tests in the afternoon or so and not necessarily FMU because your pee doesn't need to be concentrated and you might not catch your LH surge first thing in the morning (atleast that is what I have been told). Plus, if you start testing now, you can begin to pinpoint when you usually ovulate and your symptoms leading up to ovulation and you don't have to worry about missing it for testing too late! Also, BD starting before you actually ovulate is best because the sperm lasts much longer than the egg does and it can be waiting in there for the egg to be released lol. So if you do it before, during, and after(for good measure) you should be set! Hopefully that helped?! Good luck, hun and lots of baby dust to you!

Thanks so much:) started my first test yesterday. im started to do mine at 5oclock everyday. Hopefully will result in a:bfp:
I also need to know.. is taking ibprohen bad for you while trying as ive been told to take that for a arm problem? but no one knows that were ttc.. :hugs: and :dust: to you all!

I was told by my doctor at my pre-conception appointment to stop using ibuprofen. Only Tylenol is okay during pregnancy.

:dust:

i personally think you would be okay taking ibuprofen. (mind you im not a dr) of course, as soon as you find out you are pregnant, you want to start taking tylenol instead. but if you are one who would choose to give up drinking, smoking, ect when ttc then you would want to stop taking ibuprofen. its a matter of personal preference. i dont think its because it would hurt your chances of conceiving, and if it is, that would be new info to me!

only paracetemol....

ibuprofen not good when TTC, cut down on coffee too if you drink loads, constricts blood vessels...oh and alcohol cut down on too, and drugs...um...nothing high in Vitamin A...

also did you get a little leaflet saying if our cycles are so many days long then start testing from this day..

i started using OVK's this month too, and its what i suspected, i ovulate much later than the standard cycle date of 14...i ovulate around cycle date 23-25 which is why my cycles have been 36 days long...makes sense now!!

get OH and yourself to take pregnacare preconception his & hers tabs...gets you both ready for the preconception - gives you the vitamins you need (has folic acid in it too which you need to take soon as you want to TTC, as you wont know you preg until baby already 2-3 weeks old..) Im taking these as is my hubby and we feel so much better for it! its helping me with my CM as well...so thats a good thing! it seems only women take the preconception tabs or folic acid..but i agree much better to giv OH some stuff too so he can get healthier too and top up on minerals/vitamins

Laura - I have just started using OV kits too! When you should start using them depends on how long your cycles typically are. I agree with usmcwife too. If you have 30 tests you could start testing at anytime, because you should have plenty to last your entire cycle. It's up to you. There are predictor calculators online that tell you when to start testing depending on when the first of your last AF was and how long your cycles are.

I agree with bunni about the ibuprofen. Only Tylenol is safe when you're pregnant. Now, you aren't pregnant yet, but if you're TTC this month I would make the switch to Tylenol for sure.

Good luck! Baby dust to all!!!

My OH and I use the 1st Response Ovulation pee sticks. I usually start testing around day 12 after AF comes to visit. If I were you, I would try to get a copy of "What to Expect Before You're Expecting". It was a big help getting us on the right track. It even has "guy friendly" sections just for him.

Well i decided not to start taking it and demand to see a doctor again because its only taking away the pain not the problem where can i get Tylenol from? do i have to go to my doctor for that or? xxx
Many thanks xx
