Woke up to it this morning. yesterday there were a few welt like looking spots on her shoulders but she is often getting marks that dissappear, etc.

This morning her soulders are covered in petechiae.

No fever. All i can think of is that she was very sick straight after her bottle last night. It reminded me of the progectile vomit in her reflux days.

Do you think it is that that has caused the burst blood vessels?

Or, she loves to squirm about in her stroller and pushes herself forward. Do you think it is the pads on the harness over her shoulders?

I have a GP appointmnet for her at 11 this morning. I am sure he will cross me off as being paranoid. But with non blanching pinprick spots i would think it is always best to check?

I had a similar issue with my oldest son. He would get them all over his face, esp around his eyes and some on his back/shoulders also. My pediatrcian ran a few blood tests to make sure it wasn't something wrong but he said some kids do get them a lot easier than others. Turns out, my sons were from him being constipated and straining to poop!! We started him on Miralax and still see them occasionally, like when he tried to climb the money bars at the playground but I don't panic now that I know nothings wrong!! But I don't think taking her to the dr is a bad idea at all!! And if your doc is a good one, he/she shouldn't make you feel like anything short of a good mommy for noticing and getting it checked out!! :) Let us know how it goes!!

Thank you for your reply. I think this post got missed yesterday:haha:

I took her to the GP and she was great. She said to always check non blanching spots out.

It is likely after the vomiting the night before, bless her.

Interestingly the GP, who also has young tots said spots on sholuders and face like hers are usually not a major concern, but below the shoulders MUST always be attended to quickly.

And she was fine. She came home and played with lego for two hours!
