Help on ovulation testing

Hello ladies... I'm new at all this TTC and would really love some help on knowing when I'm ovulating and when to use the testers. I used some testing kits last month but I think I tested at the wrong time and couldn't find when I was ovulating.

My cycle is normally 28 days but the last couple of months its been 31 days, so any idea when I should be testing or when I should be ovulating??

Any advice is welcome

I'd start testing around CD10 or 11. If you're regular 28-31 days you should ovulate anywhere between CD13-17.
