Help with 16 week potty shot

I don't know if this will help at all, but here is my 16 week ultrasound and I was told definitely girl

This is a tricky one, I see the 3 lines, but never seen it so swollen like that. It sticks out as far as my little mans willy at 16 weeks.

That one is kinda tricky, I definitely see the 3 white lines to be a but I've never seen them to be swollen that much. There's a lady in 2nd tri somewhere whose a tech herself and will decipher scan pics.. hopefully she sees this and can offer her professional opinion! x

I do agree it sticks out a fair bit. Only reason I'm not sure is because the 3 white lines are so distinctive. I really think its a girl though. Different pregnancy symptoms etc

I hope she sees it too. It is tricky but why else would there be 3 white lines.

Thank you all for your comments. We were told yesterday that from that shot they think its a boy. Me and my wife and most of our family think it is a girl though with swollen bits. The reason we think that is because we have not seen a boy with 3 white lines. All the research that i have done on this is pointing at girl with swollen bits. Would love a girl as we have 3 boys.

Sure this is a girl for sure !!!! 3 girls r a girl !!!! I am having a girl after 2 boys and potty shot is the same as yours........

Every one here seems to think girl too. The sonographer said she is sure its a boy. I just can't see it. Any one got any pictures of a girl at 16 weeks with swollen bits or a similar potty shot???

Its driving us mad!!! We thought that by paying for a private scan we would know by now. I know its not 100% but i thought we would have know roughly.

When we were told boy yesterday she could not explain why apart from saying the bits are sticking out.

Are you all seeing the same thing i am seeing???? There is no way that is a girl, at 16 weeks gender is pretty definite and that SCREAMS boy to me. However im no ultrasound tech so if they didnt give you an answer i would definitely wait until they can to be painting the nursery. Good luck but personally i think boy.

I'd say girl from the looks of that picture! Usually with boys you can clearly see the outline of the scrotum (not just bits sticking out) and I see nothing that remotely looks like a scrotum there. The "three lines" and "hamburger" are for sure there though. It doesn't look "pointy" enough to be a willy either. Sometimes it can be the angle of the shot too, it can make things look a little different to us. Here is my son's potty shots at 15 weeks and then again at 20 weeks to compare.

Well, I'm gonna say girl because my 16 wk scan looked like that too...and I'm having a girl. The part that looks like it's protruding out might actually be the umbilical cord...that's how it looked on mine.

It definately doesnt look anything like mine at all when i had a gender scan at 16+6 it was pretty flush and didnt stick out at all, the 3 lines cud be the balls n willy? coz it does stick out ALOT lol

Hi,

I actually think that looks like a little boy. The three lines is confusing, but it just seems to stick out far too far to be a girl. We are having a little boy, been confirmed in three scans, but sometimes his parts have three lines too. Here is a picture from our scan at 22+4 and as you can see, he has three lines too, but in other shots he looks all boy.

I hope you get another scan so that you can get reassurance!

Hmmm, that is a tricky one! I would lean slightly boy. Here is my scan from 16 weeks of my boy and I think it looks closer to this than to girls shots. Though, I can definitely see why it could go either way and actually be a girl!

How frustrating for you though!! x
