I'm using Hipp organic as it is now apparently the closest thing on the market to breastmilk (plus it organic.)

Does anyone find it isn't as filling as other formulas? LO used to be on cow and gate and that seemed to allow LO to last longer between feeds. I'm wondering if anyone else finds the Hipp milk less filling.

How do you know whether to try LO on the hungry versions? Also, do all the hungry formulas make LO's bunged up?

Hello,
Only just seen your post! I too use Hipp for my lo - I was beginning to think I was alone! lol!
I've never used any other brand of formula so i'm afraid I cant compare it to other brands. But, maybe it isn't as filling cos my lo is 12 weeks and still has 6 oz every 3 hours and one feed at 2am occasionally. It is supposedly gentler on thier little tummies so maybe it is being digested quicker like bm?
I've heard hungry versions of formula do make lo's quite bunged up but once again i'm not sure about the Hipp one, sorry. I did read somewhere though that hungry formulas should only be used when lo is having the maximum amount of normal formula and is still hungry x

I used this milk too and quickly switched back to Aptamil. He was going every 4 hours but dropped to 2 hours on the Hipp. Also looked very watery too! xxx

it does look very watery - i thought this too, but it seems to agree with LO so don't want to change

I might try them back on a carton of cow and gate and see if they go further on that again...

nope my LO has been the opposite..been satisfied for 4 hours sometimes longer since she was 2 weeks on Hipp...she was on Aptamil for the first 2 weeks but didnt go as long and became constipated and full of trapped wind! :-(

my son had to go on hungry baby milk and he never had a problem with constipation and I dont know anyone else who has had a problem with hungry baby milk so maybe try it and see if it satisifes your LO for longer....

my lo is on hipp its been fab for us he feed every 3 hours taking 8oz and slept 14 hours,
could your baby be having a growth spurt?
i fine cow and gate very thick formula

you could always try hipp hngry baby or just feed your lo more times at one point he was having 7 bottles then sleeping all night but i fed on demand ts now settled down to every three hours so 5 feeds a dayx
