Just a moan really. Pretty intense BH's for over a week now and today they've excelled themselves.
First day back at work after the Christmas/New Year break and my back is killing me (joys of a desk job) and these bloomin' BH's just won't subside!

Tell me about it! Mine were so strong at the weekend that I ended up at the hospital as they were all in my back they wanted to check me out.. Was nothing much but they are so painful! They did tell me to rest more laid down which has really helped (not that practical) so lie down if you can and make sure you're well hydrated! X

I drink constantly all day anyway so I know dehydration hasn't got anything to do with it.
I think I'd get some funny looks at work if I just lay down in the middle of the floor halfway through the day :haha:

I've got the midwife tomorrow so I'll mention it when I'm there and see what she has to say.

Yeah they told me it's just my body getting ready... Luckily have started mat leave now so it's a bit easier, though with another at home it's never going to be as easy :haha:

When does your mat leave start?

I feel your pain!! Mines had me calling the maternity unit last night thinking I might be in early labour. Was told it sounds like my body is gearing up for it but to call back if they get more consistent and I want to get checked out. Keep thinking I'll end up in labour before my section date and just brush it off as braxton Hicks as I've been getting so many of them.

I'm so jealous. My maternity leave doesn't start until a week on Friday...

Gosh you're working late, I worked till 37ish last time and was so done, this time I finished at 34 as my SPD alone makes it pretty impossible to work! They were fortunately very accommodating as I originally wanted to get to 36 but said I might not be able to and ended up leaving early. Not much longer for you though, hang in there! X

I worked to 38 weeks with my DD as well. I prefer to have longer off after LO is here. Not gonna lie though. I'm sooooo done with work! It really is a struggle now to keep going. Next week should be an easy week though. It really is simply a case of just tidying up my desk and taking care of a few loose ends.
This week is really quiet as well. I had a full day yesterday, half day today to attend my midwife appointment and then I get an early finish tomorrow so it's all good.

I can't help thinking that I could be doing so many things at home rather than being stuck here.

These BH's must be doing something. MW today noted 2/5 engaged :happydance: I didn't engage at all with my daughter so this makes me happy

Not to burst your bubble but it's quite common for second babies to pop in and out of engagement! I was almost fully engaged last week and then he is floating again this week.. it's happened a few times to me over the last week or so! Just to say don't be disappointed if he pops out again, it's pretty common. Not long left at work for you though! X

Yeah. I know it's common. Just happy that this time my body is actually letting LO engage. My daughter was free and wriggled around the whole pregnancy and it took for ever when I was induced for her to drop!
I'm taking it as a very good sign xx

Hopefully not too much longer for you! Fingers crossed xx
