Hook effect ?

Has anyone heard of the hook effect ? When your hcg goes over a certain level it confuses the preg test and makes it lighter , esp the cheapie internet strips ? To fix this you have to dilute the urine with water for an accurate reading.Can it happen as early as 6 weeks ( I will be 6 weeks tomorrow ). Hard to believe my hcg is that high ? Or could could something be wrong?
In the picture the top strip is dipped in to a cup of my fmu, immediately after I added water to that cup and dipped the bottom strip. The bottom is darker . Is this the hook effect or is something wrong?

I got 2 dark lines at 3w3d so it is possible for it to be so dark. I've never ever heard of the hook affect or adding water? But to me it looks like you're definitely pregnant! Congratulations ��

yes tests dont work after the 6 week mark due to the hook affect x
