Is there anything on the standard list that isn't entirely necessary?

Depends on the individual hospital really. For instance at mine i dont need. baby milk, wipes, nappies, maternity towels, towels,

all i need is

clothes for me n baby
nighties, dressing gown, slippers
camera
breast pads
toiletries for me


everything else is well proided for in my hospital

So I'd need to ask MW about this to get one tailored for my local hospital?

most hospitals will provide towels and all provide a nightie to give birth in, i dont take these also bounty provide a pack of nappies and a pack of wipes but i would take your own just to be sure xxx

My hospital provide naff all, so I need to take everything and the kitchen sink. I bet when I get there tho they will have stuff for the people who don't take it (either ill prepared or know better).
