House alarm going off -call police?

As the title says really, there is an alarm going off on my street, should I call police or assume that an alarm company will handle it?

I'd call the non emergency police number- 101.

Thanks girls, I just got off the phone to them, very unhelpful, basically they won't respond unless anyone sees people on the property! They offered to transfer me to the noise pollution team instead! Really hope nothing is happening over there, lots of families round here off visiting family for eid.

Our neighbour clearly had issues with his alarm as it went off frequently, my OH called 101 and they sent someone out I think. We did say it had been going off a lot though so maybe that is why.

Ours just said they don't respond unless there is someone in the property, luckily the noise has stopped now but I thunk the alarm switches off the noise after 30 mins because all the lights are still flashing on it. At least I tried and there will be a log of the call. It's really strange because it hasn't gone off before.
