How did you get started on IUI/IVF? HELP

I've heard the same about being fertile after a MC. I will be SO excited when this thread gets its first BFP :) We need some positive news in here!

I started off with a gyn who prescribed Clomid and after 4 rounds nothing so I moved onto three different RE's and my third has been the best. She's doing all the fertility testing and then we're going to IUI with her blessing. I'm excited.

Mbrink, pinkpeony, thank you. Fx for everyone here before Christmas, i would agree, it would be the best gift for me to see at least one of the women on this thread get double lines before Christmas.
Tawnamood, has the obgyn done a SA? Are your tubes clear?
I felt particularly screwed up on chlomid, i was clotty during AF (how could that be a good host environment?) and unlike other specialists, mine won't let ladies go on it unless:
1. SA done;
2. Tubes clear;
3. Chlomid for a max of 3 mnths because it thins your lining.
Either way, i'm really glad you've found a good Re and wishing you the VERY best for iui.

I ALWAYS have blood clots, like constantly. Is that bad?

Hmm, I only had clots during chlomid and couldn't get pregnant on it, I think it boosted my estrogen through the roof, it's through the roof as it is now as I'm premenopausal. So I used progesterone cream and Guaifenesin tablets (and drank lots of water) around my fertile days. I don't know if that would help you but I've had my hormones measured and they said I'm estrogen dominant which can happen when you're approaching the end of your fertility. My fish was 16, estrogen high, progesterone low and u/s came in with 1 astral follie left producing eggs. The specialist said at my age women generally have between 9-30 left and that my chances of conceiving naturally were less than 10%. I cried. So I've been doing all I can to try to help our crappy little situation by taking loads of antioxidants, CoQ10, EPO, folic, vit C (at least 1000/day helps produce progesterone naturally).

I try to do everything that's within my power. I went to a naturopath doctor who sent me for food testing, turns out I'm gluten & egg intolerant (thank goodness dairy didn't show up). I was thinking an autoimmune response may have been hindering me or causing my fast decline in fertility health. So no eggs/wheat bread for me! I now have a few teaspoons of turmeric when I work out to help get rid of my body's natural inflammatory response. Inflammation can hinder conception. I don't know what else to do but I can say this journey has opened my eyes to what's going on with my health!!! Don't know if any of this would benefit anyone else but there's loads of information on all different issues affecting fertility. You need to do what's right for your body :winkwink:
