How long did it take for you to get pregnant?

It took us 9 months for first bfp ( mc at 7 weeks) then 21 cycles for bfp after mc like others have said we were thinking about going to see doc and bam bfp and so far so good. Really hope you get your bfp soon :)

With my ds (now 10) it didnt take much at. I fell pregnant using contraception :dohh:, but trying for this second one took 3 long, sad, depressing year but I never gave up. I am now 2 weeks with my finger, toes, and eyes crossed. GL :dust::dust:

8 years with Thomas. I'd had one miscarriage in that time, and hadn't even known I was pregnant (was confirmed with blood tests at the dr's) so I didn't even get to see a BFP.

Then we had sex once, about 3 days after I figured I'd ovulated, and got Sophie in one try.

My first 2 pregnancies were not planned---I was young---but I love them dearly. My 3 pregnancy we got pregnant 1 month after stopping birth control. And now with my new husband we decided to try for a baby together and had the IUD removed on 9/30/12 and we found out on 10/27/12 that we are pregnant. I guess I am extremely fertile.

I was on the pill for 13 years. Was off once, during that time, for three months.

We started trying immediately after I went off. It took us four cycles.

Our first took 12 cycles of actively trying. This one we weren't trying. Just one time unprotected. Didn't think I was that fertile. Good luck hun x

TTC with my ex for 2 years with not even a :bfp:
Got with my OH and accidentally got pregnant the first month of us being together but MC :nope: we then TTC for 9 months for Logan and 4 months for this baby

It took us only a couple weeks. We really started trying a week or two before I ovulated.

It took me 40 months of hell to get pregnant. But, it finally happened after using donor eggs. I thought of giving up so many times, but I'm glad I didn't.

The percentages are assuring, Atleast in this poll there are 30% people with me, who took more than a year to conceive. The internet figures say only 10% take more than a year which kind of made me feel worried about my situation. Thanks ladies for taking time to vote and reply. I wish you all happy and healthy 9 months

Special thanks for the assurance and wishes for my BFP :)

My first bfp took me 2years and 2cyxles of clomid to get him here but he is now a 4 and a half month chunky monkey.
This pregnancy ,(2nd bfp) we got caught 1st month ntnp.
I was that shocked I nearly fell over lol xxxxx finger crossed and baby dust to you xxxxx

No time at all... Implant out almost 9 weeks ago and been put at 8 weeks pregnant by midwife (I suspect closer to 6 weeks).

With my first a year, and with this pregnancy 5 months, that is after being told with first pregnancy I would probably only get pregnant with assistance and then got pregnant naturally

4 months. Everyone told me to "stop trying so hard" and that just made me so frustrated and I thought that having that mentality wouldn't change anything. However, we tried for three months and then decided to take a break and that's when it happened! I really really think me just relaxing about the situation and stopping stressing over everything and which day I ovulated and when we BD'd really helped.

Good luck!! <3

Hope I will be able to vote the poll soon

Tried for 3 years with my ex. With my DH it was on the 5th cycle. We decided to stop trying an just let it happen when it was time.

Hey hun xx

It took us 12 months .. got married jan 19th 2013 and first bdp jan 18th 2014 :) .. I had irregular cycles

10.5mths / 8 cycles (long cycles) with 1st baby, first month this time.
You should talk to your doctor as you have been ttc for over a year, they will run a few initial tests and refer you to the fertility clinic.

Hi,

I started TTC#1 at age 38. After 6 months of good timing and no BFPs I went to see a fertility doc. He diagnosed me with submucosal fibroids and I had a myomectomy. I had to wait 3 months after surgery before we could TTC but I got pregnant the first month we could try! For #2 it took 2 cycles. I would suggest that you look into the book "Taking Charge of your Fertility" as it has good advice on how to time intercourse. If you have done all that and still no BFP you should go see a fertility specialist. I had no indication that anything was wrong and would have wasted even more months trying without a good result. I went in after only 6 months b/c of my age. Good luck!!
