How long does an ovulation surge last?

I got a positive ovulation test cd 16 so we dtd on cd 18 I got a blaring positive even darker than any other I have ever got at 2:30pm plus globs of ewcm. Unfortuntely we didn't get to bd until 11:30pm do you think I missed my surge I def oed because I got a temp rise

Not sure, but I can attest to having a long surge as well.....I had quite a few days of positive tests (the 11/10 test was missing, but the test line was also darker than the control line on that day). I stopped testing after the last one so not sure when it actually went away? I use a sperm donor so I made sure to inseminate starting on the 9th and the last day was the 12th. I want to add this is the ONLY month where I've had test lines darker than the control line....and I've been using ovulation tests for quite a while!!
