Hi just popping over from 2nd tri.
Rougly how many bottles would be a reasonable amount to buy?
ATM I'v got about 9bottles, would this be enough?

I started out with 8 as he was eating every 1.5 to 2 hourly and that was a nice number, I've now got 6 Dr Browns which seems to be just the right number.

I'd say thats plenty hun.

I had loadsss of the small 4oz ones when he was born but we only used them for 2 weeks.

I've got 7 now and its plenty

Thanks.
I did have 6, then got another 2 with the steriliser and I think I'v got 1 coming with my breast pump.
I just didn't want to go out and buy more and not need them.

I think i'v only got 1 4oz one (there the small one's right?) was told I may aswel get the bigger one as they'd last longer.

Yep, 4oz are the small ones.

I wish i'd bought the big ones in the first place ! xx

At moment im using the small 5 oz TT CTN bottles, I've got 7 of them which is good as my steriliser holds 4 and so I can rotate and sterilise, wouldnt need more I dont think as spare space in steriliser is great for powder holders :-)

Ive got 6 of the big ones for when she moves on to more than 5 oz.

We changed bottles 4 times. We tried Pegeon, Avent, then used TT CTN for a while. But then we had to switch to Dr. Browns when he was 3 mnths old. We have more than 12 bottles that r wasted.

I would say 8 is a good number if you're planning to FF from the start. And only buy large bottles, small ones will get very little use.

If your LO feeds every 3 hours (which is fairly average from a couple of weeks old) they will use 8 bottles, so you would only need to wash up once a day.

6 is the minimum I'd recommend, but it gets tiresome washing them twice a day for more than a few weeks!

I have 6, I make up 2 in the evening, one for night feed, one for breakie feed. Then I make up 4 in the morning, for the rest of the day, up til bedtime bottle.

I wash them all in the evening, sterilise 2 - make them, store them in the fridge, then pack the steriliser with remaining 4 ready to go in the morning.

I've never needed more than this, even when Mirren was on 7 feeds a day, I just washed them twice a day and made 3 at night and 4 in the morning.

Now we only use 3 (Dr. Browns). They'r a bit expensive, & Omar only takes 3-4 feeds in 24 hrs, so we dont need more.
