I've been getting lots lately.

When I wake up, they're there, when I got to bed, they're there, when I'm shopping, they're there!

How many BH are you guys getting ?

I don't know if I just don't know how to determine what they are, but I don't think I've had any! This is worrying me...I wonder if my body will ever prepare or go into labor! Obviously I'm not far enough along to get contractions like crazy, but it'd be nice to have a few here and there to know what I'm looking for.

My doctor has told me that as long as you don't have six in an hour you should be okay, but if you do have six or more in an hour to definitely go into your doctor.

i usualy get them very rarley but today i had about 7! which surprised me

I am like you, Iget them ALL the time. It is getting rather annoying but there is really nothing we can do i guess... just wait it out until its time to meet our bundles of joy and then we will remember how worth it is was. I dont know about you but mine are pretty painful at times as well, they are more painful at night than they are during the day for me

Can you ladies explain to me what they feel like? I've gotten menstrual type cramping before but never something that comes and goes, also back pain but again it isn't like a crampy feeling.

I have heard that a surefire way to tell is if your bump hardens but there's a problem there...my bump is always so damn tight! I don't think I'd know if it was hardened or not.

Any suggestions?

I feel the exact same way. I haven't felt one single BH contraction, I have never had cramps from my period, this labour is going to kill me :haha:

Mine are most painful when I'm in bed.

Like I needed another reason not to be able to sleep!

Yup I know that feeling too... just think, this will all be over soon and we will be holding our bundles of joy :hugs:

i was hooked up to a monitor today and had ten in a hour!

I get braxton hicks all day every day. My doctor doesnt really worry about them unless they are regular or painful.

I do get them during the day, but they never seem to be painful I can just tell by how hard my tummy gets. But as soon as I go to bed and try to sleep they hurt like the dickens. Very painful menstrual-like cramping, and they make it really hard to sleep. And they seem to be getting more and more sharp/painful as I progress.

I was told that might be a sign that labour would be a bit faster/easier because my uterus would be all 'practiced up'. To me it just feels like torture!

I've been getting them all day today and they are pretty painful!

I get alot then remember I haven't drunk alot. Then I down a glass or 3 of juice and hey presto they calm down. Mine feel like I can't breath because my tummy gets too tight. Then it goes. Not sore, just uncomfortable. When the baby kicks against them it can hurt.
Drink more and see if u get less!

Im almost 35 weeks and i get them now and again (every day) but theyre that sneaky i barely notice them! Not painful, tummy goes tight, can sometimes feel uncomfy, espesh if i try to walk with them. Theyr estarted appearing after ive been for a wee as well :/

I get them all the time too! It's like a hardening on the inside. I didn't have anywhere near this many with my first though!

I'm with you...I'm not sure how to tell if I'm getting them or not!

I get a hard, tight bump but I cannot feel it begin or end...it's just like my bump is tight for hours.

Those of you who know you're getting them, can you feel them begin and end?
Are they on the top of your bump or the bottom or all over?

Does it feel like your bump is stretching? I get that sometimes....

I wish I knew if I was getting them for not. I've had such a sore/tightish bump today whenever I've been active that I'm worried I'm getting contractions and not recognizing them.

I've also been getting like a pressure feeling in my bump up high but maybe it's gas!

(Sorry I just realized I'm kinda thread hijacking! :dohh: Your post just made me wonder)

I havent had any pains in tummy...but once in a while my tummy goes rock solid.... is that braxton hicks?..... if not then i havent had any
