How many flips?

So, with #2 on its way, I'm going to need to up my cloth stash. I currently have 25 BG v3s, 3 ebay cheapies, a BG flip & a few bambino mio nappies (which are emergency nappies only).

I'm considering getting more BG flips because we get on well with the one we have, & just wondering how many to get. I'm looking at getting 5 covers (plus the one I already have) & a total of 20 inserts (including the ones with the nappies). I'll probably be using v3s on #2 when he / she is tiny, so Bella'll be in the flips in his / her early days.

Do you think, with my current stash as it is, this will be ok? Or will I need any more covers?

That sounds good. On the site 'fill your pants' they have a set with 5 wraps and 20 inserts for £125 I think

Does Bella get on ok with the BG V3s? I'm just asking because you don't know that new baby will be ok with them yet, so it might be worth holding off on buying more of anything until you know. It would be awful to buy a full load of Flips only to discover than your new LO needs something totally different! 5 wraps and 20 inserts sounds plenty though.

rachel, bella's always got on fine with bg v3s & with flips. i know, i probably will wait until #2 is here before getting some, but just trying to get an idea of how many i should have. having only one flip & one insert & using pockets most of the time, i didn't know what sort of ratio of outers to inserts would work.

Did you know they do newborn Flip inserts, stay dry ones, by the way? I'm hoping to review some when baby arrives as I haven't heard much about them in the UK but Baba Me does sell them. £11.99 for 6 I think.
