With my first two i was around early 17 weeks and it was very obvious they were boys! This one is looking like a girl but im too impatient to wait until january for my next scan so thinking about booking private one in the meantime!

I just found out today because of my genetic test! The test was performed when I was 12 weeks. I'm currently almost 15 weeks. They said girl, but I'm going to need confirmation on Monday with my regular doctor (had an ultrasound scheduled already).

I am going to my private gender scan in a week and a half I will be 17+4 and the ultrasonographer said that should be just about right to determine gender- they usually start at 18 Weeks at the place I am going but baby has been measuring a week ahead at my scans so hoping it will be enough!

Tesh thats exciting! At my doctors they do short ultrasounds at every visit and my next appt/anatomy scan is January 4th and im way too impatient this time around!

I was 9 weeks. First trimester hell & issues made us choose fr the Panorama test to see if there were genetic issues. We didn't want to go through all the sickness fr weeks to come if things were not set up OK. Please don't judge. Gender acknowledged by the test as a bonus.

No judgement Qmama! I totally understand and would rather find out about any problems early on instead of being farther along and having to make big life changing decisions.

I have an appointment for a private scan on Saturday. The technician assured me that they should be able to find out gender even though I'm only 16+2. He said they quite often are able to tell at 15 weeks so they ask people to book at 16+ just to be safe. The newer scans are amazing in clarity! When my sister was pregnant 12 years ago her scans just looked like gray blobs. Even at 9 weeks mine looked like a baby.

The genetic test is more accurate than the ultrasound. Gongrats on your baby girl!!
I had a scan at 12 weeks and they said boy. Not sure if I want to believe since I keep reading about boys and girls at that stage having similar looking genitalia. Idk I guess I'll find out in two weeks. Either way existed!!

I found out at thirteen weeks that it's a girl based on a genetic test. It's so strange to know this soon but I'm thrilled!

I found out with ds1 at 20 weeks, ds2 at 17 weeks and dd at 19 weeks. I've seen your scan and it looks promising for pink!!

Awww, thank you! "My baby girl" - I love the way that sounds! The ultrasound tech said mine looked like a boy at 12 weeks, gender experts were sliiiiiightly swayed to say boy on my scan, but all the lovely ladies on here predicted girl for me based on the nub/skull. I guess that's why I'm so shocked! I think the ladies on here really know their stuff. The nub really was just about parallel with the spine, it was a toss up.

Do you girls think 16/17 weeks would be too early for a private scan?

I had the maternit21 at 11 weeks and knew it was another boy at 12 weeks :)

Dd1- 11 weeks

Dd2- 12 weeks

Dd3- now at 9.5 weeks via panorama test

Rizzo-call the place you're thinking about booking in at. That's what I did and they said anything over 16 weeks they can almost always tell gender. But different places/technicians may have different timelines.
