How many wks pg were you when your C was scheduled?

Scheduled at 30 weeks here... for 39 weeks.

Mine was scheduled around 8 weeks prior to 40 weeks. My OB said he'd do it up to 10 days before 40 weeks, I chose 5 days.

As the title asks.. when was your c scheduled?

There is a wide range of answers, so guess it just depends on your dc, and how your pg is going. I'll find out in about 5 weeks the scheduled date for our C.

I hated not knowing...but, the two out of three decided on their own any ways, so when you all get 'your date'....my advice...have your bags PACKED AND READY at 37 weeks no matter what! You just never know!

Mine wasn't an elective c section i was induced and it was failed, i was 38 weeks and 3 days x

Ah... I asked my two friends also, one was scheduled at 8 weeks, the other was 10 so I guess it does depend on the doc.

My c-section was schedule for 38.4 weeks at my 16 week appt with my OB/GYN. I am from Canada but the city that I am in does 1 c-section, Monday through Friday in the maternity ward from 8-9am so that you are able to recover with you baby and partner in maternity rather than surgery recovery without the baby with you. My Dr. says they fill up pretty fast so we had to book far enough ahead! I am hoping to make it until the date as I am high risk and don't want an emergency section! I think that every Dr. and mother/child are different.

I'm currently 35 weeks. My doc wants to see me back when I'm 37 weeks and he said if I still haven't expanded then we would schedule the c-section for 39weeks.

At my 34 week appt my OB schedule my section for when baby was 38 weeks.

Mine was scheduled at my first appointment for around 39+2 and when we went for our 31week app it was moved to 38+2 when I asked her about going into labour before the 39+2 date. She looked at my dates and agreed that a week earlier will be better. My dr only does scheduled sections at my hospital on friday afternoons. She shares her practice between 2 towns 50kms apart. I am from South Africa and have private medical care so I can choose where I want to give birth.

i am in aus but i had a talk with doc about my elect csect. they usually have them booked for 39 weeks. At the time of the appointment i was 20weeks and she tried to book me in however they dont book operating theatre etc that far in advance so i have to go back to see her when i am 30wks to get booked in. That could be a reason they wont book you till then

they told me the csect date at 36wks last time but alot of people get told earlier than that i live in the uk x

32 weeks but the consultant didnt write it in the notes as he said it was too early and he will get told off by the MWs But he said he wanted to give me some piece of mind

Otherwise they book at about 36 weeks at my hospital.
