How much do I REALLY need to drink before my ultrasound?

I just had a scan at 12+5 and I did not have a full bladder. I walked in having to pee very bad but the lady said I didn't need to hold it.

I didn't even try to drink any water before and they still had to make me go pee so they could get a better picture because my bladder was in the way. So yes, definitely go before they take you in!
