How much lactulose to give baby help

My baby is 5 week old and he is passing hard stools! I am on comfort milk for constipation and I have tried boiled water! He needs a softener! I want to act fast on this so I'm considering buying lactulose myself! How much should I give him he is 5 weeks old I have heard it is effective!!! And how shoukd I give it? In his bottle? Please help!

When my Lo was on lactulose she was on 2.5ml twice a day via syringe. Could you perhaps talk to your HV before giving him it?

My daughter had 2.5ml once a day - try that and see how it goes you can always do twice a day it's just a sugared water x

Oh and via syringe - easier if they're laid down and a bit at a time in the cheek
