Our daughter is 5 weeks old tomorrow and was breastfed for the first 3 weeks. Since they we have been bottle feeding using cow & gate stage 1 powdered formula.

She started having 3-4oz every 3-4 hours and 6/7 bottles a day now she is having 150ml-180ml (5-6oz) every 3-4 hours 7/8 bottles a day. I haven't been able to ask the HV if this is normal as I haven't seen them since we moved on to bottle feeding.

The box says she should be having 720ml a day. She is more in the 850-950ml a day

I guess if she is taking that much then it's what she needs.
I think it's more based on weight than age. My baby is six weeks but only 9lbs so she is still on the 2-4 weeks amounts and will not take more, she has 6x120ml/4oz. I think it says at 4-6 weeks she should be taking more, but that is based on a heavier baby.

It's all quite hard to work out! I think essentially you only need I worry if they are not gaining enough weight, and if she is then hopefully all is well :0)

Her weight gain has been much better since we moved to formula. She was 8lb at 3 weeks and she hasn't been weight since.
