How much riskier is 3rd section?

Hi all,

I've not long had my second little boy and was planning on not having anymore but the thought of this being my last just doesn't feel right

I was just wondering how much riskier a 3rd section is to a 2nd? Is it dangerous and better to stick with 2?

It wont be for at least 3 years if I were to have another.

I just had my 3rd c-section, and it was the easiest one for me. It depends on how you heal, and how spaced out your c-sections are, mine was 5 years. Any surgery has risks so I would consult with your doctor and he can give you advice.

They say each section you have increases the risks of your womb fusing to your bladder and bowel, so there is a higher risk of needing a blood transfusion or hysterectomy.

Il be having my 3rd section next month, and am having my tubes clipped at the same time. As I feel the risk would be too great to have any more children.

I had my 3rd c section 9 weeks ago there was 18 months between 1 and 2 and 30 months between 2 and 3. My ob said my uterus looked physically fine ( no scar tissue) If I wanted to have another but she said the risk increases for complications the more you have she also said to wait 18 months if I wanted another. I found the recovery much the same for 2 and 3 (1 was an emergency) the only difference being is that I bleed longer post partum this time then with the others, but in saying that number 3 was 10lb 8 oz.

i am going to have my third c with this one (if the docs wont allow me to vbac), my doctor didn't talk me out of having a 3rd, my last c-section was 13 months ago. so i have waited the amount of time that was asked of me.
just hope that i can have a vbac, so we don't have to stop expanding our family :'(
