How old were you?

I'll add to the loads of replies... ;)

I was 37 and wouldn't change it for the WORLD! It took several several months of TTC... then fertility help- but we finally got our adorable LO. She is truly the love of my life... and I can't imagine it being any other way, or any other time in my life... cause then I wouldn't have HER specifically. Plus, we were so ready in every way to go through this journey... as hard and discouraging as it was at times, we both know that our little girl came to us when the time was right. I can only assume all parents would feel that way- no matter how, when or why it happens... it's right for them.

i must say I'm surprised how young some of you guys are :) My DH and I are both 30 and most of our friends are our age or older and only like 2 of them have babies. I guess it may depend on area. We're the youngest couple in our circle of friends who have a baby.

I do agree that it's mostly about where you are in life though and not age. However, I didn't spend my 20's partying like someone here suggests. I spent it in university getting my engineering degree, working my ass off at work, buying a house and travelling. I was never into clubbing and still am not.

I've loved reading these responses! So interesting to find out how people view when they had their babies.

I was 26 when I conceived and 27 when I had her. DH is almost 30. Like most people here we felt we were somewhat financially ready (DH is almost done with grad school) and neither of us really go out or anything...just hang with friends which we still can do with my DD.

We are the only one of our friends with a baby, so I am a little bummed I have no other mommy friends to relate to. Most of our friends aren't even married (and in my circle you usually get married first) so I'm not holding out any hope for anyone to join me anytime soon!

I was 21. I would have waited a year or two or I would change the years previous to having LO. x

23, could not have happened at a better time! I just wish I could go back and do it all over in the exact same way!! lol

28 when we started TTC, 29 right when i got pregnant and 30 when i had her :)

wouldn't change it

I conceived dd when I was 25, had her at 26yo. No regrets whatsoever. Just pure happiness! We've been lttc so when she happened, we were pretty over the moon.

I was 20 when she was born and turned 21 ten days later. I believe that I got pregnant young for a reason and that it was meant to be this way. There are some disadvantages from having a baby young but there's also some advantages. I don't regret it at all. I like the fact that I'm a young mama :)

I (am) 25 when I had LO. Started ttc when I was 23 and although I'm super happy to have her now, I wouldn't have minded for her to make her appearance sooner.

Being young mom definitely has its perks I think - more energy and she'll be 20 by the time I'm 45 so that's definitely great!

Honestly, I wish I'd been a few years older - say 27ish, with a stable career under my belt. And I'd love to have been married first. That had been the plan throughout my whole life, but obviously things dont always happen the way you want! As it is I gave birth at 22. Although I love my baby to bits and wouldnt change him for the world I just wish things had happened later in life.
