I had my son 6 weeks ago today and I want another baby! I can't get pregnant for another 6 weeks due to having the rubella vaccination.

But I had an emergency section and she had to cut into rectus muscle to get my son out, then it got quite badly infected.

Anyone got pregnant fast after a section and how was ur pregnancy x

I a csection on Sunday, the dr told me they wouldn't want to see me for 2 years.

its reccommended 18 months plus as you won't be healed properly and there's risk of long term damage with utine ruptures etc and to replenish lost nutrients. It's a major operation and another baby so soon can put massive strain on your body which won't be properly healed.

X

I know how you feel. I had my daughter a week ago via C Sevtion and already have thoughts of another pregnancy in my head. But I'm not sure whether it's just hormones and emotions. I'm going to give it a year I think as I'm 34 now and don't want to leave it too late....xx

Don't get me wrong I love my son to bits. I just don't want to wait a couple of years and have to do the sleepless nights again. I just really want a brother or sister for him, would hate for him to be an only child x

Hi I had an emcs with my daughter in January this year and I am currently 35 weeks pregnant with baby number two:happydance: I am due 2 days before her first birthday. So far my pregnancy has been straight forward apart from being tired and I'm gonna try for a vbac :baby:

I had my DD via Section on October 21, 2011. After her birth, the doctor told me that we should try to wait at least a year to give my body time to fully heal. We didn't quite make it that far, I got pregnant again 11 months later with this little one!

I was nervous at my first appointment, but the doctor examined me and said I was healthy and should not have any issues carrying this baby to term. They said the 1 year is a guideline, and I wasnt that far off of it.

I have had a wonderful, healthy pregnancy so far! :cloud9:

That being said, depending on what they had to do in your section, there may be additional time needed for you to heal, especially if there were complications or special cutting/things they had to do. So I would definitely consult with your doctor for what is best for you!

Btw, congratulations on your little boy!! :flower:

Some of u guys have gotten pregnant quite quick after it.

I think ill wait another few months and start trying because I have pcos so probably won't get pregnant quick x

They recommend the waiting time because they cut open your uterus to take out the baby. That takes way longer to heal than most people realize. If you get pregnant too soon it can complicate the pregnancy as the uterus begins to stretch if it hasn't healed fully.

My little one is 8 months and I am 5 weeks pregnant, my doctor said wait 6 months at least, I am opting for an elective section this time as last time the labour was very stressful and scary.

I plan on trying again 5-6 months after this one is out after elective c section. I know loads of people who are 5 plus months later with bfps and fine! It's just a guide x

You would best check with your obstetrician - he/she would be the best person to advise.

They recommend 5-6 months at the least, but they reccoomend 18-24months for best. Some doctors will place you as high risk if you have one to soon (below 1 year) but normally no issues with the pregnancy. For VBAC some doctors wont even let you unless its been 24 months. So talk with your doctor. Its hard to say, as some poeple heal quicker than others, but its major surgery and the inner parts, uterus, do take longer to heal.

im not sure what they reccomend as i wasnt planning any more but my son is 5 months and ive just had a huge shock to the system as im now about 5 weeks pregnant with baby no.12 so i will keep you informed as to whats said.x

Number 12???!! Ur a brave woman! I plan on doing this once more lol!

I spoke to my doctor as she had seen my infection etc and she said about 6 months to a year. I'm already 2 months into it and we plan on getting married in August so fingers crossed I get pregnant on my wedding night :) I have pcos as well tho and I've found it hard to keep a pregnancy going, I lost 2 before my son.

Thanks girls! Quail keep us updated :) x

my daughter was 4 months old when i got pregnant after a c section and had a pretty normal pregnancy except i was severley anemic x

I had one January 2006 then December 2007 then March 2010 then March 2012! So about a year between sections and falling pregnant. Hoping to try for baby number 5 soon.

Gosh you girls are great! Fair play to you!

I on the other hand will be waiting a few years.
