*complicated story warning*

My doctor only does HSG's on Thursdays. I would have had it done today if we hadn't run into an insurance snag. Happily, I have talked to the insurance company and they said that YES they WILL cover my HSG! :happydance:

My doctor's office says they can schedule it for next Thursday, which will be CD 15. Isn't that too late? We specifically talked about what CD I would be on and the nurse put me on hold and came back to say that would be okay. From the research I've done it looks like most doctors recommend having the HSG between CD 5-12?

Next big problem: My hubby is applying for a job halfway across the country! He's already had one great interview and is hoping to get a call in about 2 weeks, then a second interview, and if he gets this job we'll have to live separately until July. I have only been at my job here for one month and don't want to up and quit right away; it would look bad for me. I think staying 6 months would be acceptable and hope my boss will still give me a good reference.

Anyway, I don't want to miss out on those first crucial months after the HSG where I could finally get a BFP. Should I have the test done now, next month, or wait a couple months till I know if hubby gets this job? I feel like I've already waited too long... I'm 35 this month. I don't want to wait anymore! But I also want to be smart and give myself the best possible chance of conceiving naturally. I wish my crystal ball was working! :haha:

I had my hsg on cd 23 as I just stopped bleeding. We just knew cycle to that point was a bust. Have you had unprotected sex?

As for living apart from hubby it's hard. I did that the first yr I was with dh. It's never easy but doable. Will you able to visit during that time. And I would do the hsg ESP being 35 it could change everything. Good luck

Thanks for the response, Lawyer chick. We've been unprotected for 5 years now. I've been charting and using OPKs for 12 cycles, and am on my 2nd round of Clomid now.
I don't think we'll be able to visit very often. We don't have a lot of money for flights, it's too far to drive, and our work schedules will likely conflict most of the time. It's really going to suck a lot. :nope:

I had my HSG on CD15 (apparently the last day when you can have it) did not have any particular issues with that, but did not get pregnant afterwards either. Now they want me to do hysteroscopy to see my uterus more clearly. It might be though that because I had my HSG quite late in the cycle they could not see it properly (not sure though, just guessing)
