My lo has his first cold. He's very bunged up and he's not sleeping.
Can anyone tell me whether it's meant to be a vaporiser or a humidifier that helps him breathe better? I'd like to get one tomorrow. I'm not sure of te difference but would like to add some olbas or Vicks to the water as I've heard that helps. Which should I buy?
Thanks

a cool mist humidifier would be best for baby. I have a vicks starry night cool mist humidifier. It has a nightlight on top that projects stars on the walls/ceiling. It also has a slot for a vicks menthol pad which you can buy packs of separately.

I brought a Vicks humidifier yesterday & it has a section for a vaporiser pad too so it does both :)

Thanks ladies! Is the bucks starry night just in USA? I've only found it on American sites so far. Vicks seem to do lots of different ones but no mention of slowing pads in but then I did look straight at argos online as there is one in town.

There's a Vicks one in Argos that's £50 ish. That one takes the pad :)

I'm also thinking about getting a humidifier, saw the Vicks one on Argos but there's also a cheaper one that's seems the same ad Vicks except there's no section for a pad but I've got a calpol plug in for that so prob wouldnt use that on the humidifier so could save £20 as its £29.99 and it has a washable filter so means you don't have to keep buying new filters, so I'm thinking of getting that one.
Also from reading around some people add essential oils (ones safe for baby) into them like eyculyptus or children's olbas oil to help with colds
