No you are not being unreasonable and I would feel exactly the same as you. Xmas is so awkward for so many of us trying to fit in the inlaws etc.
If I were you though I would either make the effort to go this year for a couple of hours or send oh on his own. But I would be very very clear to both your oh and your inlaws that this really is the last year that you or your oh will be able to fit in with your in laws ideas of a good xmas. At least that way everyone is given plenty of notice and hopefully this time next year there won't be able bad feeling.
