I did an experiment :D (It's a BFN - Discoloured tests)

Now, I am a long standing POAS'er.

I ran an experiment to see if there was any truth in something I had read, and low and behold - there is.

If you have a discoloured test and you feel a bit grossed out at sharing it with friends and family (if this was your BFP you'd want to share it right?) there's a simple way to bring back the whiteness of it.

Now I must stress this does NOT work with every HPT.

I used a FRER and the experiment worked, however I also did it with a CB plus (+/-) and it failed to take.

Dip your discoloured test into some WATER. Wait for the water to start to process into the test - done.

Here's mine, before, during and after :D

Are u sure that's negative? I see a good line???

Ohh cool! Thanks for the experiment Miss! I still have my discoloured FRER and I'll do this on Sunday when I use my other one and compare the two. :D

Sadly yes, two days after taking the test AF arrived as normal. Frer have been giving me lots of false hope the last two cycles, not buying any more!

My FRER dunk didn't work nearly as well as yours Miss! Top FRER is the old one, and the bottom is the one I just did. Eventually I did see the top one turn as clear as the bottom one, but the lines got spotty and washed out.

Funny enough the ICs I had (Wondfo) looked a bit better with the water dunk! The very top one was one I just took, and the rest are old ones dunked in water.

Interesting experiment!
