thank you everyone for being so understanding:hugs::hugs::hugs: its not in my nature to be mean so i never mean that even though it sounded mean:dohh: x

Oh Kelly! So sorry your feeling like this  There are some really good kennels oput there that can rehome dogs, but you may need to search for them. Or call the RSPCA and see what they say. Its no committment to actually giving her away and at least you will have options?

You have a massively strong bond with Maddie and I guess that is a huge factor in how you now percieve your pooch and what she does. You can't keep feelings like this that effect you so much bottled up. You can rant away here all you want!! :hugs:

thank you ceri that means alot :hugs::hugs: i made myself stroke her after dinner:shrug: sounds silly but iv'e just been avoiding her:cry: and i gave her a bit of cheese:winkwink: its so mean the way i feel:shrug: esp as she looks at me and wags her tail in hope that i might say something nice:dohh: i left the rm with food left on maddie's baby walker and she'd eaten it off errrrrrrr:shrug: i know i should of cleaned it 1st:dohh: but that's gonna happen all the time when your busy! but its also the kind of thing that drives me insane:haha: we are def going to go for a walk 2m  wether i enjoy it or not who know's  thank you x:flower:x

Ive only just spotted this thread and I was so upset until I read your last post. We have 3 Bullmastiffs, (was 4 but one was put to sleep a couple of weeks ago) and my big boy is my baby as well as Grace. This may sound quite mean to some people too but from the other end of the spectrum to you. I love my Bully boy as much as I love my LO. When I'm snuggled up to him I can feel my heart-rate slowing down and I'm so chilled. My downstairs gets hoovered and mopped 4 times a day but I will admit that Grace does still get covered in hair when a hoovering is due, or late. TBH I'm not that bothered about a bit of hair (I'm sure she has eaten loads of it by now) as it just serves to build their immune system. She will have an iron constitution!!!

Why don't you post your favourite picture of your dog on here and then keep trying to include and spend time with him and in a few days read the whole thread back and look at the photo and see if your feelings have changed at all.

I know this is an oldish thread, but after LO was born I felt irritated by my 2 kitties, I still loved them but felt guilty for feeling they were in the way as was so busy with LO and his reflux and allergy issues and I felt terrible that I wasnt giving them enough attention.

Until the other day my girl cat didnt come home for 3 days and I was devastated, I just took it for granted that they would always be around. I cried all the time she was away and felt so guilty as I thought it was my fault and she had run away from me! Anyway she has come back and I am so relieved and over the moon that I have another chance to show how much I love her, I wont make that same mistake again.

hope your feeling better hun, look on ebay for a furminator, best brush i have ever used on our german shep cross, he now looses half as much hair if not less...

i cannot pretend to know how you feel, as i adore my dog and he already adores bump, he is so protective over me of late and lies his lead on my bump and falls asleep.

it may be worth talking to your doctor about how you feel as it may be a cause of baby blues or something that they can help with

good luck
