Hi all i just got really freaked out:hissy:

I was about to get into the bath when i noticed my nipple was wet.Anyway when i went to touch my boob to get a closer look there was like a drop of milk coming out!! i checked the other too and it was the same!!

I was reading in a magazine that this can happen but i thought it would be from 25 weeks onwards etc.

This is my first pregnancy so it has really freaked me out so was just wondering how soon others got this happening?

It sort of brings it home that this isn't my body anymore and just an oven for my rice grain to grow in and feed upon :pop:

heya i also had this about 2 weeks ago but only out the one boob just a tiny bit and have had it twice since but again just out the same boob, its weird isnt it hehe xxx

It's normal it's not actually milk its colostrum or pre-milk it can start leaking as early as the 4th month. From what I've read you don't actually get the milk until a day or few after the birth. I just knoticed mine last week and went to look it up.

I didn't get this until I was around 22weeks and it scared me at first lol.. no worries though

I was 18 weeks when I started leaking for the first time. Eventually it became a bit more so I had to invest it nursing pads lol.

Yah got mine at 17-18 weeks too... no big deal just need some nursing pads if they leak during the day

Yup totally normal although I never had this problem. Just leave it be and it will settle. Don't try to pump anything out or stimulate!

Ladies often come up asking about this, its fine, just have a shower and pad yourself up!

Turbo mom is right though, dont try and force or pump it out..

ahhh the wonderful world of pregnancy:hugs:

I've had a little clear, sticky fluid leaking out for a couple of weeks now. It's worse in the mornings and in my right boob more than my left for some unknown reason. The other morning it was actually dripping out. I guess this must be a good sign but I was shocked how early it started happening.

I didn't know it could happen this early in a 1st pregnancy. I"m actually lookin forward to it!

I was leaking actually quite terribly around 17 weeks. It still happens every now and again, on and off-- but not to the extent it was. It was actually so bad that if I slept on my side I would awake to a bit of a "puddle" under my breast.

I know how you feel cause it freaked me out too! I thought that you only started leaking like that right before you delivered so when it happened to me at 18 weeks I flipped out thinking I was going to deliver then!! But, its normal, mine is normally clear or yellowish clear but occasionally a little white comes out too. Dont stress about it.

I'm worried that I'll be out in public when it starts and I'll have a huge wet patch on my shirt :(

Thanks for all your feedback :hugs:
I havn't noticed it today but cheryl it was only a little droplet so far.Nothing which would have gone through my bra if i was wearing one at the time thankfully.
Although all the feedback about wet patches and pools of it did turn my stomach a bit......... i know it shouldnt and its all natural but when its the first time it is a little alien-like.Im definately up for trying to breastfeed and am quite determined to give it my best shot and that doesn't make me feel squeamish.
Im a little worried about something else though too.......this might sound really silly now lol.
Before preg i was a 38A in uk bra's (more than a handfuls a waste hehe) and have now gone up to 38B. HOORAY!thats huge for me!!
Im hoping they will get a bit bigger but only due to the fact that im worried the size will have an influence on the quantity of milk produced?
IS MY LIL RICE GRAIN GONNA STARVE??!!
See i told you it was silly!!:dohh:

Size doesn't matter. There's women with teeny boobs who r putting ut more milk than me and im a DD!!! lol im sure you'll have more than enough!!!

22 Weeks for Me..it's a really weird feeling to know you have that coming out isn't it?

Nope, there is not correlation between breast size and the amount of milk produced.
