I miss....

Thank goodness for this thread.

I miss:
Sushi. Tigers eyes from a particular restaurant. Yum! As soon as I can handle a 2 hour car ride after I have my baby the pedal will be to the metal.

Beer/wine. I'm not a big drinker, but I miss being able to drink a beer or a glass of wine and that feeling of ahhh afterwards. An instant decompress from all the stress.

The ease of finding cloths. I never in my life thought I would say that because I hate shopping. But finding maternity clothes has been hard. I live 2 hours away from a maternity store, so that doesn't help anything.

Being so cautious about what I do. We have a ranch so I've had to cut back on things that I would normally do, which makes me feel like I'm not pulling my weight.

It's all worth it, but it's nice to whine a little. :flower:

I miss

sleeping on my tummy
A glass of cool white wine in the sunshine
runny eggs
My underwired bra
Xx

Oh I also miss sushi so much!! I had some avocado maki rolls the other day which helped a bit but can't wait for the real deal afters! And a lovely rare steak yum!!!

Soft cheeses and wine.

I'm not a big drinker anyways maybe a glass a month but it was nice having that option there.

alcohol!

and not feeling constantly nauseous, if that makes sense

I miss:

- Salami. Oh my god I would kill for some salami right now.
- Sex. Again, would kill for sex. OH won't touch me because he's terrified of having another loss. :dohh:
- Real coffee, though I've been drinking decaff for ages now anyway. But still!
- Wine & beer. I NEVER used to drink before, but being pregnant now makes me crave it like CRAZY!

I miss
- wine
- rare steak
- sleeping on my back

I didn't realize I couldn't eat soft serve ice cream. I love mcflurrys especially now that I'm pregnant

I miss...

- Tuna fish (odd...didn't think I would, didn't have it all the time, but I want it now!)
- My flat stomach!
- Having an occasional drink
- My energy
- Dancing (I know I can go out dancing, but no fun when you feel fat and you're
always tired, and can't drink)

I miss:
Beer (barely drank but now i want it more than anything :haha:)
medium steak
brie
runny eggs
not having to do 100 loads of :laundry:
a single day without heartburn
sleeping on my stomach, back and right side
HA HA HA, I know I sound super whiney, and I have had a pretty good pregnancy with very minor symptoms or issues, and I know my little guy will be well worth it but the heartburn is the biggest killer, all day every day.

A glass of red wine whenever I feel like it....HOT baths... Sleeping on my front :)

A big ice cold frosty bubbly beer at the end of a long day.
Soft eggs.
Licking the bowl after making brownies.

Seeing my hoo-ha and shaving my legs easily/getting to my feet(painting toenails).

I had completely forgotten about licking the brownie batter until today! I will definitely miss that and I keep dreaming about eating cookie dough, but that's obviously off the list, too.

I have to also add eating salty restaurant food to my miss list. Being pregnant has made me into a salt barometer of sorts. Fried foods and other salty stuff make me bloat right up. Sometimes I don't realize how salty something is until my preggo self puffs up after eating it.

The lunchmeat thing is kind of annoying if I'm stuck choosing off a menu that's mostly sandwich stuff, although I don't exactly crave it.

I'm still doing a lot of things others are avoiding like eating soft serve ice cream, drinking soda, wearing an underwire bra, etc. Last pregnancy, I worried about everything, but for some reason I'm very relaxed this go around and just try to be moderate in my decisions (drink less soda, eat soft serve and hot dogs only once in awhile, etc.). I still don't think there's anything I'll miss more than sleep though.

Amen! I had a soda at a grad party the other day, and my Fiancés sister looked like she saw a ghost! Lol. It's a can of soda, jeez. It's not like I have 5 cans a day! Soft serve ice cream is my FAVORITE! And I eat hot dogs occasionally if I cook them.

Me too. I had a soft serve ice cream banana split yesterday. :cloud9: I still drink pop (soda) and coffee occasionally (but I make sure not to have too much caffeine). I have been avoiding feta, runny eggs, undercooked meat...

I miss:
-Being able to relax on Saturday night with a glass (or three) of wine. I wasn't a big drinker, but sometimes I'd like to have a few glasses of wine.
-Being able to play with my daughter without having to take a break to relax.
-Walking up the stairs and being able to breathe properly when I get to the top.

I miss having wine in my hot tub. And not having to wake up in the middle of he night to pee.

No soft serve icecream?? I didnt even know we weren't supposed to have that. Why can't we eat soft serve icecream?

Unclean machines supposedly create a very small risk of listeria (although likely far less than many other things we don't think about). Not that you'd want to eat out of unclean ice cream machines even if you weren't pregnant. I've only heard about it on this site. It's one of those things I personally feel is so small a risk it's not worth stressing over (for me).

Being able to give the cats their food without gagging

Ooh I miss -

- Pate! I used to love pate on toast and whenever I see it in the shop I start drooling at the thought :D
- Medium rare steak.
- Dying my hair and painting my nails. I know it's supposed to be absolutely fine, but I still think your scalp/skin and nails are pourous, and so some of those chemicals, even if its just a small amount must get into your system. Just don't fancy the thought of it!
- Sleeping on my stomach.
- The missionary position!

Don't miss runny egg as I still eat it. Don't miss soft serve ice cream as I still eat it!
