I need a bump buddy!! Anyone else due October 25th?

I hope so too! Keep us updated if you can!

MrsJerome, I didn't have any poo issues but I know opiods can cause that. I'd pick up some lactulose. I was glad I had some after my second degree tear

Hey I don't see any "groups" section in the baby forums. It would be nice if we kept this thread going since our babies are all roughly the same age.

yeah..I can ask them to move it..they moved my other thread there since most of us have had our babies and we werent really TTC anymore..but I'll wait till everyone has had their LOs and then ask...cant believe our group is graduating to the next level! lol.. its like a video game lol lol..

cant wait..we have two more babies we are waiting on right..come on lazy babies! lol...we cant wait to see you!!

Mrsj: i take stool softeners twice a day. It really helps. I was worried about the 1st time i went, no problem. Once your taking less narcotics it should be easier. Walking will help get rid of gas pains. Alot of people have gas after surgery, and if you dont get rid of it, it can move up all the way close to yoyr shoulders. Sounds weird i know. Some people take milk of mag, i havent ever taken that though. Also, theres enemas, but im not a fan!

How is everyones bedtime routine going? Or not going? Haha!at 10 pm it seems like he never wants to settle down. Then the rest of the night usually goes fine. After his bottle he usually settles down during the night, but for some reason at 10 he wants to stay up awhile. Of course this is when DH and i would like to settle down and spend some alone time. I figure it will happen in time.

in the past few days I have finally found a feeding schedule for night time that works for us...I feed her all she wants during the day and at night I feed her from both boobs before bedtime and then top her off with about an ounce of formula and she sleeps about 3-4 hours..would prolly sleep more but I wake her up at about 3 1/2 hours and change her and feed her again the same way and she'll sleep another 3-4 hours... Ive realized its best to get her up and change her and all before she d gets really hungry and really awake..otherwise shes frantically hungry and I dont have a chance to go potty and get everything ready before shes up..so much easier to do without a baby screaming...and that way its all over before she even has a chance to cry..she HATES having her diaper changed lol..the wipe warmer has helped a lot but she still gets very fussy lol..

here are some of our hospital pictures..

Shes a doll!

Were at about 3-3.5 hours a night, which i can handle. We never have to wake him up though. He always wakes us up hungry. Hes a little piggy! At his 2week appt he weighed 8lb 12oz. He weighed 7lb 9 oz at birth. Also found out they measured him wrong at birth. They sais 18.5 in which i couldnt believe bc we are both so tall. He was actually 21.75 inches. Haha! Big difference. When i looked back at his pics at delivery his leg wasnt extended when they were measuring him.

Corin usually sleeps from about 9pm til 12.30-1.00am. She gets fed and changed and then wakes around 4 then she's up every hour or so for a fed until 7. I'm just glad to get a few hours of unbroken sleep :)

I was told the wrong weight in lbs and oz. I guess someone misread the conversion chart, They told me 7lb 15 but she was 7lb 7.

Your LO sounds like a hungry baby! Are you exclusively BF'ing?

yeah..it makes all the difference to sleep longer than 1 hour at a time..

Im pumping during the day, and then we do formula at night. I seriously think i could feed triplets! My boobs are huge and i have soooo much milk!

lol..I try to pump when I get a chance...got a brand new avent pump...but nothing much comes out after shes done with them..but someone in the breastfeeding section on here says you wont pump so much till 6 weeks or so when your milk is really established and all.. how much do you get from both boobs total each time you pump?

Im not the breast feeding go getter! I didnt think i wanted to BF at all. I know, i know its best. Believe me, considering where i work, i heard it all the time. I started out pumping every 3 hours for 20 min. Ive got the pump rsnted for a month, at which time, i wNt to switch to exclusively FF. Im trying to slowly space out pumpings and pump for less time. This way its not quiting cold turkey and i wont become engorged. Im getting over 5 oz and im only pumping for 6-7 min. Theres no telling how much i would get if i kept going.

Lauren is sleeping for 3 hour stretches which is awesome. The hard part is getting her to sleep initially. Sometimes it can take 2-3 hours to get her down, but once she goes down she does really well the rest of the night.

I am still using the nipple shield as I am still healing, but I am hoping to get rid of it in the next couple of days. I will be so glad to be rid of it and not have to prep my breast before I feed her and then clean the shield after. I am getting nervous that I will just crack again though. Going to the lactation consultant tomorrow so hopefully I will have a plan of action after that.

Mrs Jerome, I took stool softeners for a few days after having her. I had tearing, so they were helpful. My digestion isn't quite back to normal, but I think that has to do with diet. I am just now starting to get an appetite again. The first 10 days or so I had to remind myself to eat even though I wasn't hungry at all.

Hippy, I hope this is it! I keep coming back to see if anyone has had their baby yet!

No just pumping

oh I guess thats why then coz by the time I feed her im about out..I bet if I pumped and didnt feed maybe Id have more..I just got about an ounce from one just now which is an improvement...just waiting for it to build up I guess...Brieanan has been putting herself to sleep the last two nights..
I feed her..hold her for a bit and shes very calm but still awake..looking around...so I put her in her bassinet and turn the lights out...keep the TV on and put it on sleep for like 30 mins..both for me and her lol..and then I go to sleep..and shes been fine like that the last few nights..hopefully it sticks lol..

aww Acorn..hope your boobs get better..luckily no cracking for me.. I use my lanolin and when I cant reach that I just put some milk on them before putting them back..I also have those lilypad breast pads that keep them from drying out a bit I guess...

I think the PPD is getting me..but not in the harming anyone way..just a sad..could cry at anything at anytime way..especially at night times...uggh!! Im happy with her and feel like it has nothing to do with that..idk...maybe coz Im sick too...anyone else?
