No, that is not what OPKs tell you. OPKs tell you when you have an LH surge, which is normally starts aboput 72-48 hours before ovulation. But there are a couple of factors there...1) when you take your OPK test could be 24 hours in and 2) you aren't confirming O, just an LH surge. You can have an LH sure and not ovulate for the cycle.
The only way to confirm the date of O is through temping (or an ultrasound). OPKs should give you a pretty good idea though. I would continue to test until you get a negative and then I would BD for 2 more days....ie, you could Ovulate the day you got a negative and then BD 1 more day because the egg can live for 24 hours.
