I Think He's Engaged

Just over 32 weeks and he's HEAVY in my pelvis - and it's easier to breath thank God. I have a ultrasound Tuesday for growth and a Specialist appointment for GD so we will see what they say. They tend to do cervical exams here at my local hospital for GD mums from 35 weeks so while getting poked in there before labour is just not fun (it's not fun in labour either), I should get some anwsers and know what is going on. I won't make it to 38 weeks but I'm not complaining if he's early though not too early of course!

I thought my girlie had turned the other week, but alas, she is still very much breech, and it looks like she intends on staying there! Ultimately it doesn't matter for me as I'm having an elective csection but I hope your having more luck than me haha!

Oh, were your others early? My first two were early, but my third, fourth, and fifth babies engaged and disengaged several times before I went into labor - late with all three of them. lol. I hope you have better luck, though, and yours come as soon as they're ready and don't just hang out and get chunky like mine did. lol

I thought baby had engaged at my last appointment but apparently not, during my scan, the midwives had to to go over my hips to get the growth of his head! But when a different midwife checked my bump after, he was still free. Hope you have better luck though!

Last week I could have sworn my girl was trying to burrow her way out early, she was putting so much pressure down there and felt really heavy all day. But the next day it felt better, so I think she popped out again in the night. Frankly I'd be happy for her to stay up until the end, since I'm having a C-section anyway, that day was very uncomfortable!

I'm the same as some other ladies here, some days it feels like she's engaged but others it's fine and there's no pressure Midwife said today don't expect baby to engage/stay that way until late on or during labour because it's not my first baby. And you're on number 4!

My baby was engaged last weekend and I was convinced labour would start at any minute! Then suddenly she popped back out and turned posterior!
I've been trying everything to get her back to the correct position, seems like she will be late now since her head is free and not helping with dilation.

With my second baby he was engaged and then he popped out again and managed to get himself stuck on my hip bone! He arrived 11 days late in the end.

Ditto to you all! I was convinced he was engaged a few days ago, so much pressure, felt like he was falling out and then yesterday nothing! These babies 🙄

DS1 I went into labour on my EDD and the other 2 arrived at 38 weeks so I don't see myself going too far past 38 weeks anyhow. Everyone has their money on 36-37 weeks. As a result, I've opted to take leave from Dec 31st and I have told my MIL I'm NOT going anywhere Christmas Day so she's making hubby bring my lunch, dinner and dessert home. She said she'd bring everything round to mine and I told her like Hell. I'd rather be on my own in bed with Netflix. I don't really feel like being around a heap of people questioning me on my pregnancy and wanting to touch me especially when I just hurt all over at the moment because of pregnancy. Yuk!!

Don't remind me. I've FINALLY come to the conclusion I am stark raving bloody mad! I was only 80% sure I didn't want another baby. After today, I'm 100%. I'm kind of scared to have sex again even with BC after this one. I fell pregnant with 3 on it. And I can't get my tubes tied before 35 either so I either go without (and that's not happening) or pray to the powers that be that there is no more plans for children for me. I'm kind of scared!

I'm with you on the Christmas stuff. We live pretty far away from family right now and I refused to fly home this year. All day flying and waiting in airports at 30 weeks pregnant, nope!

Can you persuade hubby for a vasectomy?? I already told mine that there is no more sex till he has one I def don't want any more!

He wants one regardless but he's got issues with going to the doctor. I always said I don't care if he wants more children if we split but I physically can't do it a 5th time and won't so I don't want to take any chances. We did talk about one more after this baby but hubby agrees with me that I am getting too old, need my career now and I'm not tolerating this pregnancy very well so no more. I still want my tubes tied regardless.

My son was breech at 34 weeks. Sitting in three pelvis at 36 weeks and now I just feel totally uncomfortable. Apparently second babies don't often engage till labour. I'm so ready for him to be out now. Scared of how labour will start but hoping not to go overdue this time.
