If some of you have read, my ex oh was cheating on me, im now a single mum of one dd and due to give birth soon, well tonight it gets worse, i just found a little sore lump under my left armpit, im freaking out about it, its quite painful to touch and im totally emotional...how much more am i expected to deal with? i feel like im getting lower and lower

can it be normal to get lumps when pregnant or am i looking at something more, well you know, i just dont want to say

Hun, I don't think that anyone here could (or should) fathom a guess at what it might be. Please call your doctor first thing & make an appointment to go in.

I am so sorry that you have to go through all this crap, I read your other thread about your cheating prick of a husband. You don't deserve any of this. x

Oooo doll! It could just be a plugged pore my aunt and cousin get these they can be sore. I'm sorry you are going threw so much! Just make a dr app and try not to think much about k! Deff message me if you need to talk k!

thank you, im just so sick and stressed out this day, i will see my gp on monday, it would be nice to curl up in a ball right now but i need to stay strong for my children :hugs:

thank you for everyone for being there for me through this tough day :hugs:

it could also be a cyst, ive had a cyst on my breast before which was drained and then it was fine, i wouldnt worry too much until you have been to see the GP, it could be nothing and stress is the last thing you need more of right now. Some Dr's surgeries have saturday opening also. x

:hugs: I'm sorry you're going through all this. Absolutely check in with the doctor to make sure nothing is going on.

That being said it is normal to get bumps and lumps in pregnancy because of all the hormones floating around in your body. Same reason it is recommended to do your breast self-exams after your period, not before when hormones are going nuts. The hormones can cause all kinds of weird stuff to happen. I would take a guess and say it's just a plugged up duct, or even some irritation from the breast tissue gearing up to work. Try placing some moist heat on it and see if it gets better. Still, go get it checked out...better safe than sorry!

It could be an infected hair follicle from something such as shaving. Definitely get it checked out, but try not to freak out too much until you can.

Also just so you know, cancerous lumps aren't painful. (At least that's what the doctors I work for say.)

Could possibly be a swollen lymph node. I had a few that got swollen in first and second tri.. One in the bend of my leg (when I had a yeast infection), then a month or two later one in my armpit (not sure why). They come up sometimes when your body has an infection it's trying to fight off

Sounds like a cyst or swollen gland of some type. Please try not to worry you have been through the mill as it is, and just ask your doctor about it as soon as you can xx

I just had one removed under my breast. Hormones can do funny things to our bodies... please don't worry too much! Let your Dr see and get thier opinion. Mine had to refer me to a dermatologist and she was able to remove it in office. If it's under your arm it could also be an ingrown hair or something to that effect.

Hi Hun I hope u don't mind me poppin over from 2nd tri to reply. First of all, any time you have a concern like that absolutely go see a doctor about it. 2nd... Ill give u my experience with the same thing happening to me... Hope it helps ease your mins a little. About a month or so after my youngest was born I found a lump too just about the same spot, and it was pretty tender to the touch. I talked to my dr who immediately referred me to a specialist to have it checked. The specialist told me that due to the hormones from being pregnant and having a baby sometimes the milk ducts get clogged up or sometimes you can develop a fibroid (cyst) as well. He also told me that anything cancerous will not be painful or tender and since mine was he was confident it was not cancer. They did an ultrasound and measured it and also did a biopsy and it was determined to be benign (non cancerous) fibroid. He told me this is common in women who are pregnant or have recently delivered and a lot of times it will shrink in size or even disappear. It's been almost 2 years and there is no longer a lump there at all. Still its better to be safe than sorry Hun but I hope sharing my story helps a little :)
