I'm curious about fertility supplements/aids and whether or not they interact with any other medications or vitamin supplements. Also wondering if you should take them with food or on an empty stomach.

I know you should not mix clomid and vitex because they cancel eachother out.

But what about things like maca or soy?

MACA is is a food so you can take that with anything at anytime. I'm also taking a prenatal vit. pregnacare conception and it says to take it with your main meal.
Thats about all I know I'm afraid. x

Thing is foods do interact with eachother....

For example, calcium (milk products) interferes with the absorption of iron (in leafy greens, legumes, meat).... whereas vitamin C (orange juice etc) enhances iron absorption....

and green tea interfere with the absorption of folic acid (That I only found out a few weeks ago after ALWAYS taking my folic acid with a glass of green tea in the morning ooops!)

I'm spend $$$$ on supplements now and I would just hate to find out that like my folic acid I was doing other things to cancel out it's effects or worse combining things that in turn is doing more harm to my body then good.....

Well I've never heard of MACA interfering with anything :-/

Hmm all I know is that you should take any zinc supplements with food because otherwise it can make you feel nauseous.. but good point. I worry about combinations too... so anything people have found would be helpful!!
