Be warned these arnt for the faint hearted.
My other half went to have a dermal anchor done, this is the process..
Area marked and cleaned (obvi)
Using a biopsy punch a small circle of tissue is taken from the area
Into that area a small bar is inserted and moved to seperate the layers of skin and create a pocket for the foot of the dermal to sit
Dermal is picked up by the jewel/ball part and held at a 90 degree angle so the foot is strait down.
Once foot is in, the clamp is pulled back hard so the L shaped foot is sat properly in the skin.
This takes a lot of pulling, its eventually in the right place when you hear a very loud pop, thats the jewlary piercing your skin inside.
My Fiance when to get 3 of these done in a tattoo he has, he lasted 10 mins of pulling and pushing (out piercer is very experienced in dermals too) and he passed out. He woke up and threw up and passed out again. This is really not like him.
They look gorgeous but just be aware that its gonna hurt...a lot. It made me change my mind and i have a lot of piercings myself.
