Is it possible based on our movements to get the umbilical cord wrapped around baby's neck? I know this is a terrible thread but I was thinking this last night as I was tossing and turning pissed off because I couldn't get back to sleep. Do we need to be careful how we move or twist???

No, you don't have to worry about that. You moving wouldn't do that to your baby, so feel free to toss and turn all you like! Lol

OK good lol. I was panicking. I mean I knew it wasn't because he was kicking the crap out of me last night but after I calmed down from my temper tantrum from not being able to sleep I wondered about that lol.

Nah. My grandma keeps telling me not to reach for things up over my head because I can get the umbilical cord wrapped around the baby, but my grandma's just a wackadoodle.

I agree with the others, I wouldn't have thought so. I really wouldn't worry about that x

I wouldn't have either normally, as I've had multiple nights like last night and never second guessed it lol. But now I'm wondering about every random thing possible I think lol.

Thank you ladies! :)

If you google "old wives tales" that's a common one people seem to believe, but everything I have read says its false, so no worries! Lol and I don't advise googling old wives tales or anything else for that matter, google is the enemy...

Yep I was trying to avoid google at all costs lol. It always tells me the absolute worst!

How funny, I actually asked the doctor about this today! The cord was realllly close to the baby's neck during the ultrasound and I got scared. She said the fluid in there is so buoyant and the baby has so much room to move theres no way!
