I had a missed miscarriage in November last year, was NTNP since no luck,so tried charting, 1st month charting we got our BFP we had been hopeing for but unfortunately it ended up as a chemical pregnancy and the bleeding started yesterday :( i want to try again straight away and hopefully get my rainbow real soon but is there anything i can do to prevent another chemical pregnancy or miscarriage? Iv decided to take frolic acid everyday so its already in my system but are their other ways? Anything else i can take? I want to do everything i can to prevent another heartbreak :( xx

From what I was told today, my followup visit after my 8th m/c, there isn't really anything that will prevent a chem or m/c if it's genetic. I've personally had ALL of the testing done and only had a progesterone issue. Take a good prenatal vitamin with folic acid and limit caffeine, alcohol, etc. Load up the fresh fruits and veggies and stop smoking, or cut way back, if you do. I am in my 40's and my youngest is going to be 1 on Wed. I found a product at my health food store called Vitanica Pregnancy Prep and I took that for 2 months before I got my bfp with her. I've started taking it again to hopefully help me get pregnant and keep it this time. I wasn't ttc when I conceived the one I just lost 2 weeks ago so hadn't been taking anything besides my prenatals. I've also had 6 children, 4 of them after losses. I had 2 children, 1 mmc, 3 blighted ovums, 2 children, 1 chem, 1 blighted ovum, 1 child, 1 blighted ovum, 1 child, 1 mmc. I hope that helps you.

Im so sorry for all your losses hun, and thank you for the information, i had never had a miscarriage until recently, i have 3 children and never had a problem (other than with fertility but thats another issue altogether) so it really did come as a shock to me when i had my mmc, i really didnt think it would happen to me, and then when i fell pregnant this time i REALLY didnt beleive it would happen twice in a row! But i then had this chemical so i was wrong, im just wondering if im lacking in something which is why this is happening or if its just a really unfortunate coincidence that they happened one after the other :( xx

sometimes they just happen that way. Doesn't mean you did anything wrong. It's usually caused at the first few cell divisions and when we lose them it means the baby wouldn't have survived to full term or birth. I don't know what I would do if I lost one after I had felt movement or held it in my arms. :hugs:

I am taking vitamin B6 and B12 as an anti-hyperemesis measure for my next pregnancy but it also helps to sustain a healthy pregnancy - might be worth a go. I too had a chemical this cycle :(

I've had two chemicals in the last 6 months, to my knowledge I haven't had one before but then until I found this website in 2012 I would never have tested early and may never of known! I had two losses in 2012 one at 12 weeks and then 2 months later a blighted ovum which I lost at 11 weeks, this was followed by our beautiful little boy now 10 months, we'd dearly love another lo to complete our family, I've been taking prenatal for the last 3 months, at my age (43 in Nov) I'm expecting cp but it doesn't make them any easier to cope with, so sad, the pregnancy I lost in March was due Xmas day:( hoping no more cp for us all, lots love xxxx

I actually went back to taking them in 07 when I was ttc my 5 yr old. And I just kept taking them. I added D3, 5,000 iu when I discovered I was deficient but didn't have the insurance to cover the cost of the 50,000 iu the doctor wanted to prescribe. Been taking them both since 2010.

I was going to start taking all sorts Vitex etc for egg quality but never did get around to getting somexxxxxxx

I found some stuff at my local health food store called Vitanica Pregnancy Prep. I took that for 2 months and got pregnant with my 1 yr old. I usually need progesterone supplements because mine rarely gets above 20-25. With her it was 46!!! Carried her until the day before my due date. No real problems other than bothersome contractions that started at 6.5 months. You can order it online if you can't find it local. Go to www.vitanica.com

Really? I'm gunna go have a look thanks hunni!:-) I had my prog measured at 5 weeks 1 day with my youngest now 10 months and it was 72 but that was nearly 2 years ago now, I worry things have changed! Xxxx
