Maybe I'm just feeling old. But everyone here seems so young!

Are there any other older mums to be on this forum?

I'm 37 btw. (38 in November)

Yes I've just turned 37! I'm due in April 2011 and I am 9 weeks 1 day!

Hiya - I'm 38, pregnant with my first child. Feel like an oldie too. TTC for 4 years now. Hoping this one sticks - I had IVF

hi
I was also starting to feel a bit ancient, i am 38 and have a little boy and currently 13wks with twins. We have also had IVF to get pregnant.

Hiya :wohoo:

Glad to know I'm not all on my own here.

A43 you have the exact same dates as me. Well my dates, not the early scan date!

Mrskaine, I hope it works for you.

I've got a 12 yr old ds and after many years of tests, treatments, investigations etc I finally got a natural and total surprise BFP 2 years ago, but that one turned into an MMC and 2 more MC and I'm back again, a natural bfp. Same as everyone, hoping and praying all will be ok.

Mea, twins, how exciting, I'd love to have twins, but I'll settle for one at the moment!

Aww Mea, I would love to have twins at this age - you must be so happy. I transferred two embryos but lost one at the start of the pregnancy, it didn't implant properly which was a shame. I bleed for 1 week, really heavy bleed, clots and cramps. Thought it was all over but hcg levels were still rising so had a scan and they said still had one embryo in the womb growing - was so happy. Going for another scan this afternoon - 6 weeks. Sooooo nervous.

Pickles - sorry to hear about your MCs, I went through a MC in April - not a nice experience at all. I think this is the reason why I feel so anxious with this pregnancy. Every twinge here or there I panic!

I'm 35 years and 5 months old- does that count? :haha:

I'm expecting my first, due in April next year.

Hi ladies I'm 37 on Friday and this is my first time pregnant!

hanelei i would say that 35 +5mnts definatley counts

mrskaine Good luck with your scan i am sure everything will be fine, was this your fist try at IVF?

pickles Sorry to hear about your miscarriages, i have never been through it myself but we had 3 failed attempts at IVF which each time was so devastating.

we are getting a nice little group now of over 35 mummies to be:thumbup:

I turned 36 at the beginning of August and am 12w 4d with our first baby.

We were overjoyed to conceive naturally after having an MMC at the end of last year and were relieved to see all is well when we went for our dating scan last week.

I'm 35 and will be 36 in Dec. Due May 9 with my first. (well, my first pregnancy!) Feel ok so far, but then again I'm only just over 5 weeks! Still in shock as we have been trying since last Nov.

Best Wishes to everyone!!!

HI you spring chickens

My names Alex , Im 46 and will 47 by the time my Bubba arrives. I think I must be the oldest one on here. Its a late lamb and a shock as we gave up three years ago. Just goes to show its never too late to get caught naturally.

I do feel a bit uncomfortable at appointments and scans as the young girls who take their mums for support are younger than my eldest. I have a girl 28, boy 25 and girl 18. My Grandson lol is 11 month old.

The amount of people that have said " how did that happen ". Well us old ones do indulge occassionally -giggles
If anyone says is this your Grandchild I will proudly say "NO its ours"

Fingers crossed for a healthy loved and happy baby next year

hi

i'm 35 in a month and this is the first time for me! x

being older is the new young. . . . !

Welcome baby bear

Lets hope so. And congratulations:baby:

Alex congratulations, thats some good age gaps. i was talking to someone on another IVF forum earlier and she is 47 and just found out that she is expecting twins!!!!
Can i also say you dont look 46 at all in your picture.

Babybear i like that "being older is the new young" I know i certainly still feel young dont feel any different to when i was in my 20s!!!!

Our last midwife said that she found that older mums are definatley alot more relaxed and the babies seem to know this and seem more content than babies who have younger mums.

Hello you yummy mummies, im 38, 39 in January and on number 3 x
