Is there anyone over 35 on this board?

Hi everyone, my names Kim and I'm 35 will be 36 on my due date. I have 2 boy's already, Corey aged 15 and Harvey aged 1 so a very big age gap. It's great to see so many 'older mummy's' here. Can't wait to get to our 12 week scan so I can relax xxx

Ive got my 12+ scan tomorrow at 1.20pm but am soooo worried. My eldest daughter is travelling from Wales to support me & DH. I still feel nauseus but to me that doesnt mean much. My history of MMC is bad. I think if I can get past tomorrows scan with a heartbeat present I may relax a little more.

Tried a Doppler today but couldnt find anything so thats left me a little worried although my daughter in law said its not designed to work until 16 weeks. DH was not pleased Id tried as he knew I would worry. Assured him I was ok but now on edge.

Hi Alex, yes I think 12 weeks is touch and go with a doppler. Good luck with your scan. Will you be posting pics?
I have my first on Sunday at 9 + 4.

Alex, I know it's hard with mmc history, but you just have to keep positive until you know for sure what's going on in there. I'm sure it will all be fine for you.
I'm crapping myself about tomorrows scan too. I have a horrible feeling they are going to say something bad, but I'm trying to have a PMA.

I heard it. My DH took Grandson for a ride , daughter went upstairs, thought I will just have a go again. Went lower down and there it was like a train engine. Heard my own slow whoosh and went back again to confirm train engine. Phewww relieved for now.

I think everyone going for a scan tends to worry about what might be on the first one. Good Luck to all going for scans and Thankyou so much for the support- it really does help.

I am 35, this is my 5th pregnancy. Have 2 DS age 10 and 7 and 3 angels, I lost twins in late pregnancy in april this year so we are overjoyed to be pregnant again.

I have a viability scan tomorrow, mainly to show how many we are having. Would love 2 but know 1 is best...either way fingers crossed everything is okay!

My Grandson will be 16mth older than his aunt/uncle

His mum has eventually got to go back to work (been seriously ill and we nearly lost her), but at my age I think I will struggle with a new baby and work. so I will have Harry and our own baby too lets hope they will be best -

Will look for a double pushchair nearer due date.

I've got a 12 yr old ds and after many years of tests, treatments, investigations etc I finally got a natural and total surprise BFP 2 years ago, but that one turned into an MMC and 2 more MC and I'm back again, a natural bfp. Same as everyone, hoping and praying all will be ok.

Yes - i am working with my dates and not the early scan date - they reckon i might be less far gone than I am but I know my dates etc - mw said the 12 week scan date will determine the actual date!

I had an early scan yesterday at 6 weeks but they could only see the yolk sac, no fetal or HB, but I'm not too worried, think it was a bit early to see bubs, I know it's different for everyone as some people do get to see the HB at 6 weeks. Must have a . Going back next week (7 weeks) for another scan. Praying that all is well, I'm leaving it in Gods hands.

Don't forget to share the good news about the scans.

I am new here, I am 40 and 9 weeks with 1st. Had my first scan already, coz wasn't sure of dates, and all seems fine. Strong heartbeat and everything looked normal. Now just waiting for the NT scan and CVS before telling anyone....

I have posted another thread but just wanted to let you know i had my scan today, and both babies are looking good and spot on the right size for 13wks. They were both really naughty and wouldnt get into a good position to have measurements taken, hope thats not a sign of things to come!!!!!!

Feel so much more relaxed now i have got to 13wks and seen that all is ok.

Hi Kelly, Smeej and Sazzyb!

I'm just home from my scan. Baby is measuring perfectly for 9 weeks and has a lovely stong heartbeat of 167 bpm. I feel like I can breathe a sigh of relief for today anyway. I'm past the point where I had the mmc and mc, so here's hoping it all goes well from here. Only got till the 8th Oct until my 12 week scan ...
