It's our first FS appointment tomorrow!!

4 - 6 months?!
I want my results back before then!!

Yep me too
I've only been charting two months so I've got last months and so far this month O:)

Hey maaybe2010

I got the results for my HSG and ultrasound, then and there. But I know it seems to be different everywhere. Having said that my follow up isnt until August. I've been told to phone every day to get an earlier one. The girl answering the phone now knows it's me everytime I call

The ultra sound is especially funny. It looked like a bit vibrator and had a condom on it. he he!

I had my first appointment back in march and ive already had my follow up appointment for june to discuss the investigations. Im hoping ill get all the investigations done in time cos unfortunately i ovulated 3 weeks late.

You can pretty much see whats going on and whoever scans you generally tells you what they are seeing but they can't formally diagnose you or prescribe anything so they just forward their findings and opinions to your fs. As for the wait, I think it's pretty standard, both due to waiting lists and also to weed out fakers who just want to fast track a baby! (there was a girl on here who wanted clomid after month one. She conceived on month two! these buggers exist sadly!)
But your pct could be different - hope so!

Hope everything went ok. x

the dr doing the scan will show you if they find any cysts or anything and they'll tell you if your uterus of normal etc but as dragonmummy says they wont (or shouldnt) diagnose or offer any support, you'll have to wait until your follow up for the details.

when i had mine done she found my left ovary was full of cysts and she said it looked like PCOS. then she told me she could see i had just ovulated from my right ovary and went on to tell me she didnt think my left ovary would be able to ovulate at all because of the cysts.... when i saw my gynae afterwards and asked him about it all he was angry the dr doing the scan had told me ANY of that information and said she shouldnt have

sooooooo how did it go?

It went ok thanks ladies! O:)

I had the rubella bloods and 21 days blood although I'm on CD 22 the nurse said it didn't matter

My ultrasound is still booked for Saturday
And HSG I have to ring up when AF shows also get day 3 bloods done
My follow up isn't until 31st August

And we thought OH was doing his SA on Monday apprently not :dohh:
They told him on the phone but he hasn't recieved any letters!
We first seen the doctor on 7th April and it's still not booked
He's doing it and taking it in anyway he says!!

So although it's got things moving we're going to have to wait until at least September to get any treatment
Feels like we'll never get there :(

well i'm glad it went ok and you've got the ball rolling but i know its hard to accept the waiting. the whole process seems to take such a long time. all my appointments are in 3 month blocks and when you think a few apps and thats an entire year gone, its scary. i didnt get an HSG until we'd be ttc 2 yrs! seems ridiculous but at least all the ladies on here know how that feels so you're in good company ;)

the most important thing is that you're further along than you were before so chin up and try and stay positive about it all :hugs: lucky you, you have an ultra scan to look forward to haha did you get the popcorn in?

Thanks hun :hugs:

Two years! Jeez you had to wait ages for that!

Haha oh yeah!
I'll get it Friday night from Blockbusters :haha:

xx

maybe you should phone ahead and ask if its ok to bring snacks in with you ;) hahaha

Hey hun on the ultrasound front I had to wait 2 months for my results. The sonographer wouldnt tell me anything said I had to wait for my next appointment with the doctor!

Glad everything went okay.

xx

Thanks Starbright :hugs:

4Magpies - Someone else said that as if they tell you something they get really told off lol
I'll have to wait until my next appoinmtnet then!! Nearly foooour months! :(

xx

Have they booked a follow up appointment? Mine got me to book the follow up for 4-5 months time on my way out. (transpired it was 5 months - yippee.... don't we just love waiting....)

Yeah they did when I wrote that little bit I got condused between the HSG and the follow up, I should probably go edit that. . .

So it's for the 31st August, almost four months :(
I think I will keep ringing to see if I can get in on someones cancelation

defintely call and see if you can get your appointment changed. when i finally got my HSG booked I phoned and asked if there was any chance of changing my follow up appointment and they were great about it, they brought it forward so it was the week after my HSG instead of a couple of months away :) its worth a try!

Omg that's brilliant!

How come they did that?
Just because you asked?
Or had other people cancelled theirs?

xx

i dont know really haha i presume just because i asked.

i thought i'd give it a go and see what they said. i had my HSG booked for just before xmas and i was very low at the time i didnt think i could face another xmas and new year with no hope :nope: i needed to know where i stood. when i phoned i said my HSG is booked for whenever so could i bring my follow up forward.... i remember her saying "the 22nd?" and i said "Yes" because my original follow up was feb 22nd but she was asking if dec 22nd was ok. i was all "omg yes! please thank you yes!" hahaha

i know every hospital is different and maybe i'm lucky and they're not over run here but i still think its worth a try
