IUI here we go!

So , we went to HARI yesterday and got scanned and got my meds!
Started puregon (FSH)50iu injections today, scan next fri and then see how the follicles are going.
No problems with injeections, tiny needle not sore at all..got himself to do it just to keep him involved (i'm a nurse so i could do it myself...).
The specialist thinks that if we had continued to try naturally it would probably have happened given time but seeing as we are ttc a yr now he reckons a nudge with meds should do it as all our results of tests were tiptop.
I nearly burst out crying at first cos i thought he was saying we should wait another while and i'm completely psyched for treatment this month! He also said that as i'm ovulating grand that i may be a bit risky for over stimulation and they don't like the risk of trips or quads (i'd be de-ligh-ted if i had twins tho!!! but trying not to get hopes up either!!!)
so i just wanted to keep all you lovely ladies up to date, thank you soooo much for all the support

yay I will be stalking you this month, can you update this thread about your experience? probably going to start the clomid & monitoring in september then after a few cycles IUI so would love to see how you get on (bet you get your bfp before I start!!!)

my FS mentioned that if theres too many follicles then its cancelled, so it will be interesting to see how it goes. If we are ovulating fine then I wonder if Clomid ends up being too much.

ooooh that interesting to hear, thanks. my FS has suggested clomid with monitoring but I feel like I dont want to do that too many months and go straight to IUI. I feel that if Im taking the clomid anyway why wait and just go for it. Its $350 per session here so I will have to start saving as I want to start the clomid/monitoring in sept and maybe do the IUI by January.

jumping in on this thread (hope that is ok) so do you need to do injections as well for IUI? wow...

Keep us posted as I MAY have to do the same since hubby's SA was not the best.
