January/ February Snowflakes 2024

I'm only taking 1 so far and a reduced dose to what they originally gave me but I usually get the opposite reaction to most people and get diarrhoea from iron lol which isn't ideal when you can't take anything for diarrhoea during pregnancy. I seem to be ok on just the 1 tablet thankfully.

I hope you feel movement soon. 16 weeks is early. I definitely have days where I don't feel them and I only really feel them when I'm lying down in bed.

Sorry edited because I posted far too soon there lol

yeah that’s how it upsets my stomach. I get bad painful stomach aches and keep needing the toilet. It’s horrible.
So excited for your gender scan tomorrow to find out what you’re having. Hope baby’s in a good position to see

@salamander91 I'm glad your iron levels have improved enough for them to be happy, even if it's still on the low side. Here's hoping it continues to improve.

Good luck with your scan!

@salamander91 good luck for your scan! And for everyone else with them coming up soon!
@Laurabub84 do you guys get a gender scan earlier than here then? Our gender/anomaly scan is usually around 20 weeks.
Im having my first scan that I booked privately on Tues, will be 7+6! Excited but scared too...
Im feeling ill often. Hungry but don't know what I want and getting full easily. Generally feeling a bit rough and grumpy and moody with oh lol. Guess the symptoms have ramped up a notch!

no we have our dating scan around 12 weeks and anomaly scan at 20 weeks where you can ask them to check sex of baby. So I’ll find out then, although it clashed with our holiday so I’ll be closer to 21 weeks when I have it. Booked in for 9am on 25th August. I’ve never booked an early gender scan. I do have money set aside that I saved when I was pregnant last august to have a 4d scan at around 30 weeks as I’ve never experienced one of those. I wanted to with our son but couldn’t because of covid

Congrats on a boy! I'm sure your daughter will get over the disappointment

Thanks everyone :) she had a little cry when we told her but she's ok

Regardless of what I'm having, someone is going to end up disappointed lol. The older three are not so opinionated but the twins (5 in October) get into regular arguments about whether the baby will be a boy or a girl :haha:

Lol its hard to please everyone

The number of casual comments about having twins I've been getting, even from random strangers is really freaking me out. I really don't think this one is twins - I was so sure my twins were twins and I don't feel that way this time. But nonetheless, the number of comments has me wondering if I'm in for a surprise lol.

Literally every person I've told I'm pregnant has asked if it's twins again. Including the midwife. I was at the thrift store this afternoon and the 70 year old cashier was commenting on my bump. In conversation I also mentioned having 5 kids at home and she gestured to my belly and I said "yeah and one on the way" and she said "or two. They can hide you know and some people don't even find out til they're born". Haha like what a random thing to say to a total stranger.

It's really rude for strangers to assume that it is twins. I myself have a twin sister, and my husband had a twin brother before his twin brother died in April. So, even though I know first-hand how much of a blessing being a twin can be, I was also terrified at the thought of possibly being pregnant with twins this pregnancy.
Since you have been pregnant with twins before, I think you have definitely trust your body's own intuition about this pregnancy. :)
How soon will you have a scan?

I am also showing much earlier this pregnancy as well. Quite a few people have assumed I am further along than I am. That's always rough to hear too. My abdomen is damaged from my previous pregnancies, so I just look further along sooner. It does wound my pride a bit when people ask me how far along I am. Maybe you feel the same way?
