Hope all you mama's are doing well! I feel like I'm just now getting in the groove of things... a good feeling! I'm sure it will all change soon because thats what babies do.... lol Just when you think you got it down, they change it up on you!

have you tried a boppy? they seem to help me a lot!

If by a boppy you mean the c shaped pillow to help position baby for feeding i have one but dont like it for feeding.

I have no idea how i would use it to help the pain? But ill try anything. Do you mean to use it to sit on or something?

Morning gosh we had a bad night. Eldest cried for 2 hours (teething) then J woke up and cried on and off for 4 hours. He seems really windy if I eat onions so im starting a list of foods that affect my milk (had to do the same last time).

Morning gals, 3am feed time here so thought i'd pop on and say hi! :wave: Hi Noodle!

Really struggling with MIL and I feel awful as she isnt a bad person and is only trying to help, but shes taking over. On Thursday morning mil & fil did 7am feed so I cld sleep and I woke up at 9am to find they had taken holly out for a walk, which is nice of them but I hated waking up and my baby not being there. Then yday we all went for a walk and as I went to grab pram to leave the apartment she somehow got in there and took it first and started walking with it. She gave me it back but then the whole walk was saying to me 'do you want me to take the pram'. I felt like screaming no I want to take care of my bloody baby myself!!!! She's not even a month old yet, let me bond with my own baby!!! Every time Holly needs changing or feeding she says to me 'shall i do it' - its great she wants to help, but i feel bad saying no and i hate being asked all the time, like i'm not capable. Its just hard coz its oh's mum and i know she means well, but shes driving me crazy! Theyr here for another 2 weeks yet!!! I'm gonna go bonkers ladies!!! Anyway I got so frustrated yday I ended up ringing my mum in tears, but now i feel bad for slating oh's mum and getting upset on phone as my mum will now worry! Arrrrrgh!!!!!

Aww Lisa, I think it's all quite normal to feel this way about MIL's so don't beat up on yourself x Not long till you are heading homeward now huh? Happy feeding baby Holly

I think Alex is having another growth spurt. He was fussing all night again - knackered!

Lots of family support so get lots of rest (managed a 4 hour sleep this morning after his feed). I'm having the cot put in my room tonight so I can use moses basket downstairs.

Lisa I think it's normal to feel like that with the MIL. Your mum will understand she's your mum. Maybe suggest some other things that might really help while they are there like makign some dinners helping around the house etc. Say it would really help you to have some bonding time with baby and her help to let you have some quality bonding would mean so much.

Jade, Fraggles -- hope you both get to catch up on some sleep today

We had a decent night my brother and SIL came over while DH was working so that was nice. I have next to no support so I'll take any help that is offered! It also made the evening go by quicker. I swaddled kieran for his feeds and it worked for a few but I ended up cross cradling him for one when he just wouldn't stop kicking and screaming. Kieran fell asleep at 1 woke around 530 for a feed and it is 930 now and he is just waking up for another. I find the best way to get him to sleep at night is to bring him into bed and just talk to him etc until he slowly nods off. I we hold him or rock him and then Try to transfer him he usually wakes up.

we have a swinging crib in the bedroom and moses basket downstairs but tbh we take the basket upstairs at night time and put it in the crib. Not sure when we can use the crib, do you think we can use it now?

Gonna try and start a routine around 4 or 6 weeks ish.

I was just thinking the pain might be due to awkward posture. if you use the pillow to bring the baby up to you, you might find less tendency to lean forward which causes the pain.

oh ok. I have been using the couch cusions for feedings as i find the boppy to unconfortable. its not quite big enough to fit around me so it sits funny. I should have bought the bigger one but din't think it would matter. I didn't like it with my daughter either but thought i would give it a second chance. I have been trying to sit in a better postion while feeding and it seems to be helping. Ive also been doing my after section exercises and that seems to help to. I wasn't allowed to do them until today. oh Quinn is up now so i gotta go. bye ladies

I did this last night as my sensor pad didnt fit in the moses basket. J took well to the cot and he loves the mobile on it. He does like to stay awake in the early hours but come 4 or 5 am he feeds up then zonks out for 5 hours so im feeling refreshed today.

MW just been and J as gained 75g in 2 days so im very very happy
