Court opener really has me stumped, an usher opens a court but cant think of a word to precede hole which has any link to usher.

Hi ladies. its now 4am here and Mr. Man just finished feeding and is in bed.
Just wanted to give al ittle update as i dont think ill be on much later today. Quinn is getting circumsized today. Turns out he needs it done due to tight foreskin. I sure hope he heals quick and well and itsnt in too much pain,. They gave me a prescription for a litocane (sp?) numbing patch to put on before we go so hope that numbs it really well. Wish us luck!
Oh and he now weighs 5lbs 5oz........2oz more than birth weight!!!!!

Hodbert - definitely sounds like tummy pain/gas.... have you tried gripe water?? My LO has gas even though she is breastfed (I finally figured out the trick to get a really good burp out of her though! yay!) but when she seems unsettled I'll give her a bit of gripe water and it works really well! It is recommended starting at 2 weeks old...
I only recommend this brand of gripe water as others are known to have alcohol in them! crazyness.... (this one is all natural)

I've been told its also great for really bad hiccups! If you are stateside (which I think you are) you can find it at CVS or Walgreens

Ooh, good luck. Not fun but a friend of mine had her son done and she said it was such a quick and easy procedure and he handled it really well so I'm sure you will both do great

i feel like the worst horrible mom in the world right now. Because Quinn is having surgery i am not allowed to feed him for the 2 hours before surgery....so no feeding after 7:30am. I set my alarm for 6:30 to make sure to give him a whole hour to eat. Only I forgot to switchmy alarm to ON. he last at at 3am and its now 8:30am and he just woke up wanting to eat. I CANT FEED HIM. MY BOOBS HURT. ITS BEEN 5 HOURS SINCE HE ATE LAST. I FEEL HORRIBLE.
All i can give him is 1mL of infant tylenol an hour before surgery...so i gave it to him. I kinda hope it will make him sleepy so hes not thinking about food and i sure as hell hope he can eat right after the circumsision. I put him in his swing cuz he seems to be happy to be infront of the tv most times adn I dont hear him crying so maybe he will be ok until after the circ....but i still feel horrible, I can't believe i didn't set my alarm properly

awww I'm sure in a few hours when he's happily sucking away and surgery is behind him it will be like this morning never happened! It will be done in no time!

Laura – as for burping Kieran normally burps pretty well but sometimes I pat his back for ages before one comes out. Hope the circumcision goes well.

Welcome jojo-m and congrats on baby Fearne. I LOVE LOVE that name!! She is so sweet.
Daddy and Kieran are upstairs in bed still. I have some ME time and all I am doing is worrying about Kieran. Him and Daddy have not co slept alone yet. I feel like going to peek in but I don’t want to disturb either of them.
Are any of you having newborn photos done?
BF is still going as good as can be. It feels like it is 2 steps forward one step back all the time. Question for other BF Mummies – do you offer both breasts at each feeding or just alternate breasts between feedings?
We are heading out to the mall today. It is my only way of getting out and getting some exercise. So the mall it is…….. Probably get some baby clothes and get some pictures printed.

his surgery is at 9:30......25 minutes and counting. I had to wake him up and change his diaper and put the numbing patch on so hes right pissed off and starving now! I still feel bad but it will be over soon and he can eat.

Jo I seem to be healing much better this time than last time. Wound is healing nicely but I must remeber not to lift things (I forget sometimes)

Whoops! Sat there for an hour at the drs waiting and when i got in there i said i was there for the 6week check, she asked if it was for me and i said it was for Joe, she said he's booked in next week for 8 week check and jabs, so she didnt check him!! The dr i saw last week said I had to make appt for him... oh well..
Had a lovely time at work, all the staff loved him and i took him into the dinner hall to show the kids but didnt stay with the kids long as there are lots of bugs going round, i was fine driving him on my own, glad ive done it now.
