Hodbert - we have not booked a bassinet seat. I may call and ask if they have one but it was never offered to us. Who are you flying with? We ate flying with American airlines. Kieran's Canadian passport only lasts 3 years but we can renew I once for no cost in those 3 years if we choose.

kieran is having more and more alert time each day where we can put him down and he just plays and is happy. His eye is all better now too guess the dropping of boobie milk in there worked!! Has anyone seen the documentary babies?? It is really neat. It really shows that all babies truly need is the necessities and not all the extras.

Laura, that's really annoying. I would have been livid, lol.

Lovealittle, is the doc just called Babies. Was it on tv? I want to watch it too. Glad Kieran's eye is better. Mackenzie also has a blocked tear duct. We didn't know about the breast milk but cooled boiled water on a cotton pad also seemed to work. I've had to put breast milk in her nose a couple of times because it was so blocked. It loosens everything up and she's sneezes it all out so nicely. Otherwise she can't breathe while feeding.

Lovealittle, we are travelling with british airways. I would def ring the airline as if they provide those seats it will be well worth it so you and OH arent having to swap holding him all the time. How long is your flight? We have an 11 hour one to Heathrow, then 45 mins up to Manchester - FUN!!!!

Babies is a new release so you should be able to rent it at any video store.

I'm not sure how long our flight is as we are flying a totally different way this time. We are driving from Winnipeg where we live to Fargo (about 3 hrs) then we fly from Fargo with a brief stopover in chicago then direct to heathrow then about a 2 hour drive to Southampton! Geez we are crazy!! I'm so scared I'm guessing chicago to heathrow is about 8 or 9 hrs! Hodbert can't remember if you are ffing or BFing? Are you nervous about feeding on the plane?? How long will you be back home for? See I'm equally as nosey he he! Are both you and DH British?? Did you get holly a us passport??

Lovealittleone (whats your real name??), I am ffing but even so it wont be easy. Wow sounds like you've got a long trip! OH is going back for 2 weeks, I am back for 3 weeks and my mum is flying back to US with me - no way I'd want to do that trip on my own! We are both British and Holly has got a US passport.

Sarah how is the AF now?

To all of you commenting about BFing thanks muchly! I have resorted to odd amounts of formula just so I can see how much he is actuall having but I don't wanna stop BFing as I enjoy it! Its just time consuming lol and then he doesnt really wanna go down after it. Think I have a bit of a thing about stopping feeding him even if I am finding it hard. Jaxck says its all in my head but I so want it to work.

Do you think I am making it worse by doing the odd formula bottle? I'm worried my supply will slow but I have been expressing a bit in between too. At least one boob once a day. Only seem to get an ounce tho really. Quite a pathetic amount and its really disheartening!!

Had a very unsettled baby last night after having mum and sister round nearly all day. Jack was cross they stayed so late and said thats why Toby was like he was. I ended up taking him for a drive to settle him at 10 and then he slept till half 1 and had a 3oz formula bottle and then slept till half 6 and had boobie milk and then he went back down at half 7 till 20 past 9.

I'm worried I am shooting myself in the foot with the occasional formula feed so any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Quinn passed his hearing test. Glad that is done and over with. Oh was mildly worried and was freaking me out by snapping his fingers next to quinns head and if he didn't respond |OH would just give me that look like hes worried. But all is good!!! yay!!!!

I am only puming an ounce to 1.5. So thats normal this early. If BFing isnt totally established using a bottle of formula could interupt your supply and baby's wanting to latch so be careful. I am not going to use my pumped milk until the middle of Feb when i plan to go out with my mom for a few hours. So Quinn will be 5 weeks old then. I dont want to get him confused with the bottle like my daughter was....it was horrid!!!!!

smiffy - I'm no expert here but I think the only concern with ffing and BFing is nipple confusion but if baby is still taking your breast then you shouldn't be concerned. I'd like to see other responses though......

Bryce has been such a good boy today, fingers crossed he will be just as good tonight as I could really do with some sleep! I had forgotten how difficult it is to be sleep deprived.

Yay I've found you all!

It's my first day with the kids on my own and so far it's going ok, in that we are all fed, dressed and still breathing

Hazel is great. I feel all your pain though as she has sections of the day when she just cluster feeds and my nipples are paying the price, particularly the right one. I can't remember how long it lasted with Oscar (I fed him for 11months) She does however do one 4.5-5 hours stint at night which is bliss!

She is a piggy like her brother. She gained 10oz in 5 days and weighed 8lb 2oz last Friday. I reckon she's near 9lbs now.

I have been shopping today and treated myself to a bra fitting. Gone up to 36g! Omg! Glad to be in a better fitting bra though.

Back to work tomorrow morning, i am doing one morning a week from now. Izzie is staying with her daddy he is on day off. Got my uniform ready which feels weird, haven't worn it since October as it didnt fit. Looking forward to seeing all my friends but sad to be going too. It's only 3.5 hours though x x
