January JellyBean mummies

Heeellllooooooo thanks for inviting me Sar35 I didnt even know this was here!

I am trying to lose weight too, lost 5lbs in 3 wks - doing weightwatchers 'unofficially' my SIL (to be) bought me a points calculator so I can work out stuff. I have just ordered Davina 'power of 3' fitness dvd too and I plan to do that 3 times a week (I'll let you know how that goes - I'm not very good/motivated with exercise!) Not really put much weight on from pregnancy but I'm getting married next June and want to be more a size 12 before I start trying on any dresses so I'm hoping thats a good incentive!!! (I'm 14 currently)

Anyone else still wearing granny pants? :shhh:

your welcome, i saw your post in the baby club, you seem to have such a great routine, How on earth do you manage to get to do a dvd too?
your babies are gorgeous, whats their names?
ps im loving the granny pants, dont think i can go back to g strings just yet!!!

Well havent got the dvd yet but thinking I'm gonna do it during their nap time, if I add it in my routine at a regular time I'm more likely to do it I reckon.
Evie and Georgia :cloud9: Evie has just come off her oxygen in the last week (we had home oxygen) she is now 8lb6 (2lb13 at birth) and Georgia is 10lb14! (3lb13 at birth) I am hoping Evie will catch up soon, they are looking more and more alike now especially without the prongs on Evie's face.
Don't think I can ever go back to thongs! (plus I'm still funny about anything on my c-section scar)

Welcome to the thread Angelblue. I was wondering where you were. Your little girls are beautiful and growing so big!

they look very much alike, good news about the oxygen too, my middle boy was on oxygen when he was a baby but thankfully didnt need it by the time we went home

We came home on 19th dec after 7wks in NICU and shes only just come off it!!! Its such a relief, it was hard enough going anywhere with 2 babies let alone lugging oxygen round too!!! She's got one more monitor on sun to check shes ok so fingers crossed itll be ok, it should be because shes had a week in air

Welcome AngelBlue! Your girls are soo gorgeous!! Im hoping to do Janice Battersbys fitness DVD (Vicky Entwistle) during nap times, her DVD is fab!

I need to bring the exercise bike in from the garage and I have a DVD called Hip Hop Abs, it's lots of fun but makes me sweat and I don't like to sweat

Evening! I have 2 stone to lose :dohh: Have lost 22 ish pound up to yet (inc baby) and need to lose more, this week has been bad as I had a chinese and have been bed ridden since yesterday afternoon so prob a gain this week. For those who are BF there is a BF diet group i am in with some others?

I am sooo jealouse of your babies sleeping ages :(

I think Alex is in groweth spurt mood agaain and wont go in his cot, but for convenience I have had him in with me as I cant bloody move and in agony :(

Hi Angel, welcome to mummies thread, glad your girls are doing so well, they are beauties!!

Jolene :haha:

Jade you poor thing, your having it a bit rough at the mo aren't you? :hugs: feel better soon hun!

Had an amazing curry tonight, tandoori chicken saag it was super yummy! Having a small glass of wine now. Don't know where my baby is or who's i've got in my arms because this one has been good as gold all day and has not cluster fed continuously tonight either and slept in swing instead of glued to my chest  maybe i'll keep this one :winkwink: x

:hugs: Jade, what is wrong with your back?

That's great Jojo. I'm glad to hear lil Fearne is giving mommy a break.

I just hand expressed 2 oz in under 10min. It works better than my daft hand pump! I'm slooooooooowly building up a supply in the freezer. So far I only have 2 lots frozen. The only thing I'm worried about is that they say your milk changes as your baby's needs change and I only plan on using the milk in about a month  I suppose it's still better than formula!?

does hand expressing work better than an electric pump? ive never tried hand expressing.

I'm horrible at hand expressing... lol... my pump never fully empties me out (I honestly think it leaves about an ounce or 2 in my breasts) but I might get 5 drops hand expressing :dohh:

I seem to get 3oz out with my electric pump, it's very slowly got to 3 1/2nd over the weeks. Hand expressing is a skil- 1 I not got? X

Laura, I don't have an electric pump but I'm sure it works better than hand expressing. Perhaps I just need more practice with the hand pump but I don't have time or patience for that.

Jojo, your ticker for Corey says 11 months till his next birthday but says he's birthday is on the 9 April? Am I reading it wrong?

I better go and jump into the shower before M wakes up. She's lying so snug next to her snoring daddy :haha:

I think my picture is too big I think it's supposed to say he is 4 years 11 months?? But yes his birthday is 9th April.

Think my curry upset my little angel, she has been wriggling and whinging in her sleep all night, only waking to feed twice but grumbling all night :-(

X

I was expressing when they were in NICU for the 1st 6wks, with electric pump the medela ones they had there were fab the tommee tippee one I had a home was sooooo crap in comparison! I was double pumping too - had quite a big supply, loads in freezer!!! I tried to breastfeed but they were so small they couldnt latch on properly, I was trying to use nipple shields and everything but we just couldnt manage to do it so in the end I had to make the decision to stop trying  I was running myself into the ground - change evie, try bf, then give her rest down her tube, then change georgia, try bf, then give her rest down her tube, then go and express and then I had about 1/2 hour left in between - I got NO sleep! I was staying in one of the bedrooms at the NICU for 2wks while trying to establish bf  so when we came home I started doing half and half ebm and formula until I'd used all of my supply and they are fully formula now. To be honest I dont know how I wouldve managed now bf 2! I really beat myself up about it at the time I felt so guilty, it was the one thing I could do for them and I couldnt even do that, but at least they had about 8wks of my milk.

Wow that turned into an essay!!!

Well done BF mummies x

................................And the award for the happiest baby of the morning goes to ......................Joe!!!
Happily chirping away in his crib when he woke up, i had a shower, got dressed and dried my hair and he was so happy in his crib, came down played under the gym while i done the bottles, had his milk then back to sleep again!
Last day of my childminding course today :happydance:

Re the house, ive not heard from the woman, but im desperate to know, would you just sit and wait or shall i ask for the womans number to save going through a friend all the time, im so impatient!!

Morning!

I'd get her number Sarah, to me it shows you're really interested iykwim?

Angelblue, I think you did fantastic giving your babies your milk for so long. They are beautiful btw x x

I think I'm going to try expressing next week when the kids are back at school.

So what are we all up to today? We're in today and out all day Sunday as my daughters have a majorettes competition. I just hope Phoebe behaves!
