Like all non-Christian cults, the Jehovah's Witness organization distorts the essential doctrines of Christianity. It denies the deity of Christ, His physical resurrection, and salvation by grace. This alone makes it non-Christian. To support its erring doctrines, the Watchtower organization (which is the author and teacher of all official Jehovah's Witness theology), has even altered the Bible to make it agree with its changing and non-Christian teachings
Typical with cults that use the Bible to support its position is a host of interpretive errors:
Taking verses out of their immediate context.
Refusing to read verses in the entire biblical context.
Inserting their theological presuppositions into the text.
Altering the Biblical text to suit their needs.
Latching onto one verse to interpret a host of others.
Changing the meanings of words.
Proclaiming some passages to be figurative when they contradict their doctrines.
Adding to the Word of God.
Additionally, the Jehovah's Witness organization requires of its members regular weekly attendance at their "Bible Study" meetings where they are repeatedly indoctrinated with anti-Christian teachings. This is done by reading the Watchtower magazine, following along with what it says, reading the questions it asks, and reciting the answers it gives. In other words, the Watchtower Organization carefully trains its members to let the Organization do their thinking for them. For confirmation of this, please read Does the Watchtower organization control the JW's thinking?
Firstly the bible is gods word, so studying it and applying its laws are important, without doing so you cant have gods approval or an acceptable relationship with God, they are his standards, not mans.
And of course we are all sinners, we are imperfect, which is why Jesus gave his life, to buy back what Adam lost, as a ransom. How can you say that we deny the physical ressurection of christ? Dont know where you got that from but much of what you have stated is incorrect in regards to what JW's teach and believe.
Their teaching and beliefs are entirely bible based, the watchtower is a study aid, being purely bible based, on bible topics and continuously quoting the bible in pretty much every paragraph.
I would like to know exactly where the bible has been altered? I have a king james version of the bible as well as a new world translation in modern english ( the version we use) and they say the same thing. I can prove that in black and white, i have absolutely no doubt about that. All versions of the bible have verses that use different words here and there that mean the same thing.
To understand bible texts, you need to read surrounding verses, and also cross check where the same subject is mentioned elsewhere in the bible. We study the bible in its entirety. Not selecting certain verses and deciding what they mean, or altering it, thats false. Refusing to read in their entirety? Have never come accross this either in 30 years.
The bible encourages to not forsake the gathering of yourselves together, we have weekly meetings yes,
one of those per week for the second half involves studing of the watchtower, where we constantly refer to the bible. Constantly indoctrined with anti christain teachings? When meetings and studies are purely bible based is false. Also i dont know where you get the idea from that they do our thinking for us, thats ridiculous. We are encouraged to seek out the truth, study and prove it to ourselves. Freewill is a god given human right and i have never practiced anything but. Your comments clearly indicate your lack of knowledge about JW's
And with any witness condoning anything that goes against bible laws, the fault is with the individual themselves, not the religion. Individual wrong actions are not the reflection on JW's as a whole. These individuals are doing the wrong thing.
