Had my little Rudy Joseph on the 16th! Exhausted but thrilled with my perfect little boy ^__^ 9lbs, 5ozs and 21.25 inches long

Hi Lili yes working with a new baby is very hard and I do wish I could have had a complete break for a while but I cant think about that because it just isnt possible right now - I keep telling myself it is better to be busy than struggling for work... plus I have 4 staff who earn decent salaries so have to make sure we have work in to pay them - if it was just me it would be easier to cut off... plus I do love my work and atm I'm losing sight of that because I'm finding it hard to adjust and fit everything into the day!

Yesterday I felt like I had my own little baby baby - he fed, slept and was "normal" for him - still feeds loads but as you say he is a big baby. Thanks Purple I will try winding for longer. Last night he slept for 4 hours, woke 4.30am - 7am and he is asleep still now although making noises so about to wake. I can cope with this because it means I can do stuff in between - I dont mind the lack of sleep so much it was the constant crying the other day. His bottom is getting better too.

Emma 5oz is good - Nathan gets weighed on tomorrow if the mw turns up.

One day at a time E&L. Hope you got some sleep Emma and Linn. I wonder where time is going, Nathan is 8 days old today!

Love to all

I got some sleep yes, but really not enough. baby poo'd. i was desperate this morning so thought to hell with all the advice it needs to come out... and so it did, maybe she will sleep even better now! I was so depressed yesterday as I couldn't cope with the lack of sleep, but much better today and yes lack of sleep is better than crying!!

YEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAA for E having her poo:yipee:

J woke at 3am ant then 7.45 :happydance: Just got the girls up and breakfast infront of them when he woke! Phew xxxx

Yeah Emma I am very happy just hoping she can do it on her own again now, as I did have to help.. poor baby seemed like she was constipated as it was all creamy and not runny!

:haha: what a glamorous post!!

Emma I have sent you a PM... just read that if her poo is not runny it means she is dehydrated?? But she is drinking so much milk, has many soggy nappies, in fact I had to put her in size 2 as the other wouldn't contain all the wee and she gained 2lbs in 3 weeks so surely she is getting enough fluids. Will need to discuss this with GP or HV... not sure though about them all... the HV told me to use OJ and the GP had no idea about BF lol I am not confident relying on either.

Replied to your PM xxxx

OJ to a newborn????? WHAT? How odd xxxx

Can not believe J is 55cm long! I never noticed it, but a couple of people have commented on him! I think it is because he is slim, that it shows more?

Hmmm meant poop before! Emma 55cm is a fab length - you must put some more photos on FB - I must too....

I have had to change what I am getting you all as your bump sister baby gifts! I was going to get you each some personalised wish pebbles for your babies like I got CJ but unfortunatley that isnt going to work out now because of timing and holidays very annoying - the artist has just come back to me to say she wont be able to do them over the summer and will now refund me.... So I have ordered something else for you all which isnt personalised but hopefully will be useful and this will be with you for definite next week. I'll package and mail as soon as I get them.

Nathan woke at 12.15 after his morning sleep, fed and generally griped a bit for a few hours and went down at 3pm he is still sleeping now so hopefully he'll have a while longer.

Hello!

Just to let you know I had my little Lily-May on the 26th June, weighing 6lb 9oz :) xx

Yay...........feels like christmas again!!! I can't wait to see what it is D xxxx

I have just ordered J a personalised towel like I did for my buddies! Should be here Sat..........couldn't order one before due to the colour towel or name!

Just woke J for his feed, and put him to bed again. night all xxxx

OMG I am still up with a crying baby and its gone 2am - I think he may have colic or lactose intolerance been reading for an hour online I am going insane. I can cope with everything but the damn crying.....

poor D.. I have 2 crying children now every night, my DD1 gets such tantrums as she doesn't want to go to bed, then she wakes her sister who is then overtired and cries and cries... for 3 hrs I was putting crying children to sleep yesterday. Sometimes you will never find out why they cry, but I hope you can get Nathan sorted. After last night I am expecting social services round lol... O screams so loud!!

Hey how/where is everyone today? I am ok, slept a bit more but still not enough lol.. took the kids to play group and now DD1 is in bed screaming as there is a wood louse (=monster) in her room so she can't sleep and I am feeding DD2 so can't get up yet. Oh the joys of motherhood!!

Hello xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx :hi:

Yeah 2 nights on the trott J has only woken at 3-4am..............feeling better xxx

Was thinking of giving him my breast milk in a bottle for the 11pm feed as he gets too sleepy and want to see if he will sleep through, but can not find a single bottle in the house........................knew i would forget something!!!! :haha: Sooooooooooooo typical of me!

good luck emma, unfortunetely here bottles make no difference to sleep, even when they got formula in, but haven't tried any for ages. All I know is DD1 managed to wake every 2 hrs for her formula milk! And E sometimes drinks very little when she wakes and still goes her normal 3 hrs and then sometimes she has lots and up an hour later, I read this really interesting book by William Sears regarding babies sleep.

I am so scared of sids I am happy for her to wake every 4 hrs. But anything less than 3 hrs is really too short for me! As it takes 30-60 mins until she is down again with nappy, drinking, winding and then going back to sleep!

Off to boots for some more bottles then!

Yeah will go tomorrow! J just won't wake to feed enough at 11pm, so will try my milk in a bottle as he would drink this quicker, and i can gage what his intake is....................as you say it may not help, but will give it a go.......................i have about 10 bags of my milk in the freezer all have 4oz in, so am ready!
